Throughout history, man has wrestled with the sovereignty of God. How could a God who is in control of all things allow bad things to happen to good people?

The Apostle Paul wrote about God’s sovereignty from a prison cell. He did not learn that God was truly sovereign by having an easy, comfortable life. He learned that God was sovereign by going through great trial and suffering and watching God deliver him out of the hands of evil people time and time again.

As we come to Acts 25, Paul is in prison. What does Luke intend to teach us about God’s Sovereignty as he stands before the new governor Festus?

Have you ever regretted a missed opportunity?

Maybe an incredible opportunity presented itself to you, but you failed to act. Before you knew it, the moment had passed, and the opportunity was gone.

We often see people living with deep regret because of missed opportunities. Some missed the chance to reconcile a broken relationship with a loved one who suddenly passed away. They never got to say, “I love you,” because perhaps they were unwilling to act in the moment they had the opportunity.

The regret of missed opportunity is often avoidable if we are willing to respond when the moment comes.

As we make our way into Acts 24, the Apostle Paul stands trial before Governor Felix because of his witness for Christ. Yet in the midst of Paul’s trial, the Lord gives Felix a special opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Tragically, Felix delays, pushing his opportunity down the field for another day.

Join us tomorrow morning as we learn from Felix’s missed opportunity to receive the Good News of the Gospel and the eternal consequences of putting off what God is calling you to do today.

Have you ever desired to run a MARATHON? I certainly haven’t. Not everybody does. But, some people were created by God to run and they love to run long distances.

Marathon runners are ENDURANCE athletes. They run a race that spans 26.2 miles. They have to learn the art of pacing themselves. It requires intense physical training and mental resilience to perform at an elite level.

Endurance is the ability to withstand hardship or adversity over a prolonged period of time. That is what marathon runners do.

This is the Christian Life. It is not an easy race. It’s a marathon. It’s about endurance! It is about withstanding hardship and adversity along the way, running in such a way to cross the finish line and receive the prize.

As we finish out Acts 23, Paul has entered into a difficult season of life. He is in Roman custody and He has no idea what is going to happen to him.

What can we learn from Paul as he endures in a season of great difficulty and hardship?

We would love for you to join us tomorrow morning as we take a moment to honor and celebrate the moms in our lives!

Motherhood is an incredible gift from God. From the very beginning, God has uniquely created woman to reflect certain aspects of God’s divine nature and character.

Join us as we take a look at 3 mothers in the Bible and learn from what they teach us about God’s design and purpose of motherhood.

Okay but can we talk about how SWEET Saturday was?! 🤍☕️

Our Women’s Tea was full of so many favorite things. Beautiful tables full of goodies, lots of laughter, conversation, and yes… being served breakfast by our men dressed in black (10/10 recommend keeping that tradition 😄👏).

Through worship, teaching, and “The Teacup Story,” we reflected on how God meets us even in the places that feel broken or spilled.

The reminder from Jeremiah 18:1–6 was powerful. He is the Potter, and we are the clay, always being shaped by His loving hand.

So thankful for every woman who came and made the morning what it was. You made it FUN, full, and so life-giving.

We live in a rewards based culture where we tend to judge success based upon results and achievements. If you are not performing to a certain standard, repercussions could follow. You could be fired from a job, cut from a team or lose a scholarship.

In the Kingdom, God’s economy is far different than that of the world. Success in the eyes of the Lord is not based on results but faithfulness. Are you faithfully walking in obedience to the Lord’s will and calling for your life?

As we make our way into Acts 23, Paul has been called by God to be a witness for Christ in Jerusalem. He has been challenged to what appears to be a failed mission because he is not seeing results. Paul had spent the last 8 years seeing great fruit and success in his ministry to the Gentile world but now in Jerusalem, it’s a very different story.

What can we learn from Paul as he stands to bear witness before the hostile Sanhedrin and what does success in the Kingdom look like in the eyes of the Lord?

As followers of Christ, one of our primary responsibilities is to be a living testimony of the transforming power of Jesus in our lives to the world around us.

Do we live in such a way that others can see Christ in us?

This is truly what the Book of Acts is all about. Just before Jesus ascended into heaven, He gathered His disciples and gave them a mission of utmost importance. He told them that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them so that they would be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. They were to bear witness to the truth. They were to give an account of how Jesus had transformed their lives through the power of the gospel. They were to share their testimony about Christ.

As we continue into Acts 22, we see the Apostle Paul share his personal testimony of encountering the risen Christ. What can we learn from this great apostle as he faithfully bears witness before a hostile Jewish crowd?

Join us tomorrow morning as we study the power of a transformed life and the boldness of sharing our testimony for the glory of Christ.
