We live in a culture where it is hard to earn the respect and trust of others, especially among the unbelieving world. Most people won’t give you the time of day. They often look at you with suspicion or distrust like you are trying to sell them something or take something from them. They are often guarded from listening to anything you have to say until life humbles them in some way.

As we come to Acts 27, Paul was finally on his way to Rome, and God was going to use the him in a very powerful way to bring hope and encouragement to many unbelievers.

What does Luke want to teach us about how Paul won the respect and trust of all of the crew and passengers on the Alexandrian ship as it weathered the great storm?

What a day!

Perfect weather. Sunshine filtering through the trees. Plenty of shade. Great food trucks. Laughter everywhere. Water guns and balloons flying. Kids running. Friends gathering. Stories being shared.

But the best part was watching people publicly declare their faith in Jesus through baptism.

Today was a beautiful reminder that church isn’t a building. It’s people. People celebrating new life, cheering each other on, serving behind the scenes, and making space for others to encounter God.

So grateful for every volunteer that prayed, served, set up, cleaned up, and helped make the day happen. It takes an incredible team to create an environment where moments like these can happen.

To everyone who was baptized today: we’re celebrating with you! Your story matters, and we’re honored to be part of it.

God is good! What a day. ❤️

As we come into Acts 26, the Apostle Paul has been on an incredible adventure of learning to follow and trust Jesus with his life!

Under great trial, tribulation and great suffering, Paul has seen the Lord’s mighty hand keeping him by His great grace. He has been beaten, stoned, imprisoned, hunted by assassins and falsely accused, yet every attempt by the enemy to silence him becomes another opportunity for the Gospel to go forth. Paul was even able to testify before kings!

What does Luke intend to teach us as Paul shares his testimony before King Agrippa?

Here’s your quick Know Before You Go:

Lunch starts around 12:30PM after our 11AM service
• Mo’s Tacos (1, 2, or 3 tacos - gluten and dairy free options available)
• Fried & Frozen donuts & ice cream
• Lunch and dessert are on us!

Baptisms begin around 1:30–2:00PM after lunch. Come celebrate new life in Jesus with us!

Don’t forget to bring:
• Lawn chairs or a blanket
• Outdoor games
• Sunscreen
• Friends & family!

Throughout history, man has wrestled with the sovereignty of God. How could a God who is in control of all things allow bad things to happen to good people?

The Apostle Paul wrote about God’s sovereignty from a prison cell. He did not learn that God was truly sovereign by having an easy, comfortable life. He learned that God was sovereign by going through great trial and suffering and watching God deliver him out of the hands of evil people time and time again.

As we come to Acts 25, Paul is in prison. What does Luke intend to teach us about God’s Sovereignty as he stands before the new governor Festus?

Come be a witness to the life-changing love and grace of Jesus at work in our Summit Campus church family.

Whether you are getting baptized or not, please register so we can give the food trucks a heads up!

Event Details:
*  Lunch will be served outside at the back of the building in the grass area after church (aiming to start lunch around 12:30pm)

Have you ever regretted a missed opportunity?

Maybe an incredible opportunity presented itself to you, but you failed to act. Before you knew it, the moment had passed, and the opportunity was gone.

We often see people living with deep regret because of missed opportunities. Some missed the chance to reconcile a broken relationship with a loved one who suddenly passed away. They never got to say, “I love you,” because perhaps they were unwilling to act in the moment they had the opportunity.

The regret of missed opportunity is often avoidable if we are willing to respond when the moment comes.

As we make our way into Acts 24, the Apostle Paul stands trial before Governor Felix because of his witness for Christ. Yet in the midst of Paul’s trial, the Lord gives Felix a special opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel. Tragically, Felix delays, pushing his opportunity down the field for another day.

Join us tomorrow morning as we learn from Felix’s missed opportunity to receive the Good News of the Gospel and the eternal consequences of putting off what God is calling you to do today.

Have you ever desired to run a MARATHON? I certainly haven’t. Not everybody does. But, some people were created by God to run and they love to run long distances.

Marathon runners are ENDURANCE athletes. They run a race that spans 26.2 miles. They have to learn the art of pacing themselves. It requires intense physical training and mental resilience to perform at an elite level.

Endurance is the ability to withstand hardship or adversity over a prolonged period of time. That is what marathon runners do.

This is the Christian Life. It is not an easy race. It’s a marathon. It’s about endurance! It is about withstanding hardship and adversity along the way, running in such a way to cross the finish line and receive the prize.

As we finish out Acts 23, Paul has entered into a difficult season of life. He is in Roman custody and He has no idea what is going to happen to him.

What can we learn from Paul as he endures in a season of great difficulty and hardship?

This is a special evening set aside to seek the Lord on behalf of our church, our city, and our nation. We will spend an hour praying together, lifting up our leaders, families, schools, churches, and community.

Whether you are comfortable praying out loud or prefer to pray quietly, this will be a powerful time to come together in unity and trust the Lord with what is on our hearts.

All are welcome to join us as we pause, reflect, and pray together.
