Lord Jesus, risen and everliving Savior, with Your people of all ages and races I adore You as my Lord and my God, who has crushed Satan's head, conquered sin and death, and redeemed all people from the forces of evil. Accept my hallelujahs as I rejoice with believers, saints, and angels because You have come forth triumphantly from the grave to live forevermore. I ask You to cleanse my heart from all sinful desires and dwell there with Your eternal peace. I rejoice to know that You have blotted out all my transgressions and reconciled me with Your Father in heaven, that I as a child of His household may seek His face and know that He is full of tender mercies and boundless compassion.

I praise You because of the hope that You have brought to my heart. I need not be afraid of death and dying because there is no condemnation for us who believe in the saving power of Your Cross. To all who are sorrowing let this Easter Day bring the comfort of Your promises and a new joy of expectancy as they look forward to the day when they shall be reunited with their loved ones in the eternal glory of heaven.

I rejoice today because I know that Your church shall go on from victory to victory, receiving strength from Your almighty hand. Even the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church. Accept my vows of allegiance this day as I dedicate myself anew to Your service.

Take full possession of my heart, remove all sin, scatter all doubts, drive away all worries. Let Your Spirit set aglow in me a love that will not die. Increase in me day after day the desire to follow You to whatever place You shall lead me, until I stand before Your Throne to behold Your glory as the risen Lord, and praise You with saints and angels with an undying and perfect love. Hallelujah. Amen.

O Lamb of God, slain for sinners, this day brings me to the foot of Your Cross. Humbly and shamefully I admit that You have carried my griefs and sorrows; the chastisement of my peace was upon You, and with Your stripes I am healed. I thank You that You suffered all as my Substitute.

For me You endured the treachery of Judas; the mockery and mistreatment of Herod; the miscarriage of justice before Annas, Caiaphas, and Pilate; the scourge, the rod, and the crown of thorns. For my sins Your hands and feet were pierced with nails, Your lips tasted the vinegar and gall, Your side was pierced by the spear.
Here I behold the tremendous price of my sins that cost You Your life, Lord Jesus. Here I see You as the Lamb of God, who by one sacrifice has forever perfected them that are sanctified. May Your Cross ever be the source of my forgiveness, comfort, joy, and peace.

As I again view You today suspended on the cross of Golgotha, may I by Your love be prompted to say with Paul: "I have been crucified with Christ...and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Bless the preaching of Your Cross everywhere, and by its constraining love draw all people to You that they may live with and for You forevermore.

For Your holy name's sake I ask it. Amen.

Heavenly Father, daily Caretaker of the souls of all people, put protecting arms around me as I enter this new year of grace. Guide me safely through harm and danger that may come my way, protect me from accident and sickness, and preserve me in that saving faith which will make me more than victor over all temptations, doubts, and unbelief.

Tonight I am mindful of my many sins and transgressions and ask You to erase them, every one, by Your love and mercy through the precious blood of my redeeming Savior. In Your loving kindness draw me closer to you that I may walk with renewed determination and strength in Your paths of righteousness, where peace of mind and the hope of heaven are my treasures and joy.

Preserve in our community Your saving Gospel and prosper the work of the church established by Your Son, Jesus Christ, my Savior, that the community and the ends of the earth may know that there is no other name which saves but that of Your Son, our crucified Savior and Lord.

You, O God, have been good to me through the years, and in Your mercy you have forgiven me my sins day after day. Grant me the grace to continue steadfast in this saving faith and to walk as a child of Your family, through Jesus Christ, my eternal Redeemer. Amen.

O God the Father, I praise You for the gift of Your Son, who was born in the poverty and lowliness of Bethlehem so that I might enjoy the riches of your grace and the exaltation of sonship with You.

O God the Son, I adore You for humbling Yourself to be my Savior, for bearing my sins in Your own body, and for rendering to my Father in heaven a perfect satisfaction for my sins.

O God the Holy Spirit, I glorify You for having made my heart a home for the Savior of the world and for bringing the peace of forgiveness to my soul through faith in him who is the Prince of Peace.

O blessed Trinity, on this holy day give me a humble and contrite heart that I may joyfully claim the babe of Bethlehem as my Lord and my God. Remove from me the tattered robes of my own righteousness, and adorn me with the spotless garment of Christ's righteousness.

Use every gift received this day from loving friends to remind me of the gift of a Savior so that my heart may rejoice and my tongue can sing, "Glory to God in the highest!"

Help me to cradle the Christ Child in my heart, O Holy Spirit, and give me the grace and strength to love and adore Him all the days of my life. Amen.

Almighty God, heavenly Father, I thank You for Your unspeakable gift to mankind in the birth of the Christ Child at Bethlehem, as announced by the angel this holy night. May the mystery of the Word made flesh fill my soul with wonderment and yearning that like the shepherds I may hurry to worship at His manager bed. Change my heart from a busy inn that has no room for Your Son, that it may be a quiet chamber kept for Him.

Help me in the spirit of true repentance to rejoice in my Savior's birth that in genuine faith I may join in the song of the angels, share the delight of the shepherds, and adore Him with the Wise Men. Grant that Christ may be born again to me this holy night that the truth, love, and redemption He brought may henceforth abide in my heart and life. Like Mary, may I keep all these things and ponder them in my heart always.

And as You have made me a partaker of His glory here, grant that I may share His glory there. In Jesus' name I ask it. Amen.
