For the past 4 years, Rick and LaTonya Holland have supported our annual “Back to School Sunday” service, held during the month of August, by sponsoring a cookout. Serving the church community; they provide all of the meats and occasional side dishes, donating their time and labor to help create an environment of fellowship, particularly to the traveling college students who may have to look back on this day as their last “good” meal…until returning home!

We thank the Holland family for their continued love, labor and support for our church community!

Christian friendships are sacred gifts that reflect God’s love, offering mutual sharpening, steadfast loyalty, and spiritual encouragement. Just as metal tools whet each other, believers elevate one another’s faith. As written in Proverbs 27:17, “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” True companions do not just make us feel comfortable; they guide us closer to righteousness. We thank our good friends from High Calling Ministries, Elder William Hawkins, III and Worship Leader, Shanelle Duckett, for sharing their ministerial gifts with us this past Sunday for Youth and Young Adult Sunday.

- (October 2021) Siblings Kiarah and Cameron demonstrated the importance of prayer during our Fall Prayer Campaign.

Many of our children are now young adults, starting college and beginning with their careers. Whether they’re age 5 or 25, it’s important that they always know how to seek God’s face. Parents and guardians, let’s normalize teaching our children how to pray. That way, when life hits them and you’re not around, they can feel comfortable with having a conversation with God.🙏
