This week, we learned about the very first Jewish people, Avraham and Sarah, who were known for their incredible kindness. They opened their tent to travelers in the hot desert, welcoming guests from all directions and giving them everything they needed.
In class, we built our own “tent” with four doors like Avraham and Sarah’s, so we could welcome guests from every side! We acted out their story, played Kindness Bingo to practice solving real-life situations with kindness, and talked about ways we can be kind like they were.
To bring that kindness home, we made Kindness Boxes - a special place to leave treats and supplies for delivery workers who visit our homes. Parents, can you help your child choose a good spot for the box and fill it with thoughtful items? Here are some ideas we came up with together: water bottles, packaged snacks or candy, mini hand sanitizers, or small packs of Band-Aids.
Thank you for helping your child share Avraham and Sarah’s beautiful legacy of kindness!
