Today marks the final day of our Widow’s fast! We’re praying that the Lord strengthens each of you to endure faithfully to the very end.

We will gather for prayer this evening, and immediately following, we’ll break our fast together with a soup dinner in the fellowship hall. God Bless❤️🙏🏼

The Widow’s Fast starts today! ❤️

This month we are focusing on the story of the widow in 1 Kings 17:8–16. Though she had needs of her own, she was willing to give in obedience to God and serve the man of God. What began as a situation of lack became a testimony of God’s provision.

Elijah listened for God’s voice, followed His direction, and spoke a word of faith. The widow first spoke of her problem, but God responded with a promise. Through obedience to the Word of God, her scarcity was transformed into abundance.

When we trust God, even in seasons of need, He is faithful to provide. Our obedience opens the door for His miracles, and what seems impossible becomes an opportunity for God to demonstrate His power.

QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER:

What significant humanitarian needs are felt by people in your church and community?

2️⃣ Recognize Your Own Blessings
What are ten things you enjoy regularly that others never have?

3️⃣ Use Some of Your Own Grocery Money
How much of your food budget will you sacrifice during this fast?

4️⃣ Fast and Pray for Guidance
As you pray, which need concerns you most?

5️⃣ Pray for Those You Help
For whom will you pray during your fast?

6️⃣ Identify with the Suffering of Others
How will you identify with those in need during this fast?

7️⃣ Consider a Long-Term Investment
How will you continue to work toward meeting this need after the fast has ended?

🙏 As we fast, let us grow in compassion, generosity, and a deeper burden for the need.
