Calvary Christian Academy is a private, non-profit Christian School founded in 1967 as a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church. The curriculum provides a traditional Christian education founded on the principles of the Scripture. These principles are inculcated in each subject throughout every class and by all instructors. The school implements the teachings of the family and the local church, helping to rear children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Imagine that you are a student and you walk into class one day, not a care in the world—you’re just happy you made it to class on time. As the bell rings, you notice two things: it’s oddly quiet, and your classmates are studiously flipping through their books or notes. You get a sinking feeling in your stomach as you vaguely remember your teacher saying something about there being a chemistry test today—and there is a lot of math in it. AND you didn’t study. At all.

The panic begins to set in as your teacher starts class, and she says, “You know, students, I did tell you that there is a test today—but I’m actually going to give you this test at the end of the week.” You can barely hear her announcement and the relieved sighs and heartfelt “thank yous” over your accelerated heart rate. Man, you’re not going to forget about it this time! You are grateful for the extension.

How many of you remembered that the DC Trip Registration deadline is TODAY?? 😬 Well, it was—but we got an extension. Phew! Now you have a few more days to sign your student up!! This is a great opportunity to travel to one of our nation’s most iconic places with their friends! Who wouldn’t want to go??

The deadline has been extended by just a few weeks, but don’t delay any longer—you need register and start participating in our fundraisers to help with this trip! The sooner you can get started, the better it will be. Sign up today!! Don’t let the deadline catch you by surprise—and don’t FAIL to take advantage of this opportunity!

Our Patriot Patrol were officially sworn in to service this week! These selected 5th graders have been behind the scenes for the last week helping younger children during carline at both the Little and Big Academies! They’ve each been awarded with a special “junior deputy” badge, a special pin, and a vest that they get to wear for the rest of the school year. Deputy led them through a pledge with a promise to honor their new responsibilities. Congratulations, Abigail, Tobey, Ellaina, Audrina, Mia, Elijah, and Ivy! Your service is much appreciated! 🫡

Deputy Chainsaw (AKA Deputy McCullough) took time today to meet with our kindergarten classes to teach them about safety! We are so blessed to have an SRO who loves Jesus and also loves the people he protects. You’ll see him around—let him know how thankful we are for him! 👮‍♂️🚨💙
