Good Friday Free Lenten Soup Supper Followed by “Live” Stations of the Cross.



As part of the Knights of Columbus “Faith in Action” program: “GOOD FRIDAY FAMILY PROMOTION”, on April 19, Good Friday, at St. Mary’s Church the Good Friday service is at 3 p.m., and will be followed by a FREE Good Friday Lenten Soup supper from 430-630 p.m. The soup supper is hosted by the St. Mary Knights of Columbus Council 4444. The menu includes non-meat soup, grill cheese sandwiches, and macaroni and cheese plus limited fish and baked beans. The supper is in the Parish Life Center Café. At 7 p.m. in St. Mary Church, the St Mary’s Youth Group members will present the annual enactment of the “Live” Stations of the Cross. First, please attend with your family some or all of these events on Good Friday. Second, if you can help with the Lenten Soup Supper—setup, serving, and/or clean-up—please come to the PLC after 330 pm. Additional Note: The March Friday Fish Fry Dinner proceeds were $2716.96. At the last meeting, the council voted to increase the amount to $3,000 to be given to support St. Mary Youth Ministry programs. “Mucho” thanks to everyone who supported these meals in any way (attendance, helping, additional cash donations, etc.).

Unplanned is a movie you do not want to miss. It depicts Abby Johnson, a woman who went from being a volunteer abortion center es**rt to its director. After eight years working there , for the first time, she was asked by the abortionist to help him by holding the ultrasound probe. When she saw the 13 week old unborn child struggle to escape the vacuum aspirator and was dismembered (the abortionist said “Beam me up Scotty”), she resigned. Abby went on to established an organization, AND THEN THERE WERE NONE. that encourages and assists abortion workers quit. The movie gives a vivid picture of the human emotions and thinking of the people behind the closed doors of abortion centers and also of those who witness for life and offer assistance and encouragement on the sidewalk outside. Hope you take the time and make the effort to understand the abortion issue better by viewing Unplanned.

ST. MARY KOFC COUNCIL 4444 LENTEN FRIDAY FAMILY FISH FRY DINNERS
Family Fish Fry Dinners sponsored by the St. Mary Knights of Columbus Council 4444 will be held each Friday in Lent: Mar 8, 15, 22, & 29. The dinners are served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the St. Mary’s Church Parish Life Center on 110 St. Mary Avenue SW, Fort Walton Beach. All proceeds support St. Mary’s Church Youth Ministry Programs. The dinner menu is fried fish, baked beans, grits, French fries, and hushpuppies. The cost is $10/plate, 2 dinners for $15, children under 6 free, children 6-12 @ $3/plate, and $25/family.
