Have you ever known somebody was going to hurt you... and they did it anyway?

The broken promise. The betrayal. The disappointment.

One of the most shocking moments in scripture is that Jesus washed Judas' feet knowing exactly what Judas was about to do.

He knew.

And He loved him anyway.

Today's Jimmy in the Morning is about the kind of love that doesn't wait for people to deserve it.

Because love isn't proven when people deserve it.

Love is proven when they don't.

Watch today's devotional: Undeserved Love.

Have you ever met someone and thought, “Why are they acting like that?”

Why are they so defensive? So controlling? So angry? So quick to shut down?

What if the better question isn't, "What's wrong with you?"

What if it's...

"What happened to you?"

Today's Jimmy in the Morning is about compassion, empathy, and learning to see the humanity beneath the behavior.

Because everybody is carrying something.

Everybody.

Watch today's devotional: "What Happened to You?"

What if the reason some people are so difficult to love… is because you're trying to love from an empty tank?

When we're exhausted, insecure, stressed, or overwhelmed, everybody seems to get on our nerves.

But before Jesus performed a single miracle, preached a single sermon, or changed a single life, God declared:

"This is my beloved Son."

Belovedness came before performance.

Today's Jimmy in the Morning is about learning the difference between loving FOR love and loving FROM love.

Because when you know you're deeply loved by God, you stop needing everybody else to behave perfectly for you to remain at peace.

Watch today's devotional: Belovedness.

Have you ever noticed how sometimes the smallest things irritate you WAY more than they should?

Somebody interrupting you. Being late. Talking too loud. Using the wrong coffee mug at your perfectly arranged emotional table.

What if irritation is revealing something deeper?

Today’s Jimmy in the Morning is about control, emotional exhaustion, and why some of us are tired not from loving people… but from trying to manage people.

Because control is not peace.

And maybe spiritual maturity is learning how to remain loving even when life feels inconvenient.

Watch today’s devotional: “Control.”

Have you ever noticed how often Jesus sat around tables?

Meals. Bread. Wine. Fish.

Conversations. Messy people.

Apparently the Kingdom of God looks a lot like a table.

And tables are beautiful… until people show up with their opinions, awkwardness, wounds, anxiety, and emotional support coffee mugs.

But Jesus never abandoned tables because they became messy.

He stayed.

Today’s Jimmy in the Morning is about learning how to remain openhearted when the table stops looking like yours.

Because grace keeps making room. Again. And again. And again.

Have you ever noticed how everybody wants community… until people start acting like people?

We all want deep relationships, connection, and belonging… until somebody annoys us, disagrees with us, or spills the emotional tea on our perfectly clean table.

This morning on Jimmy in the Morning, we’re talking about the truth that: “Annoyance is the price we pay for community.”

Maybe the difficult people in our lives are revealing difficult parts of ourselves that God still wants to heal.

Easter may be over…
…but the message still matters.

A few weeks ago at Fairlawn, we did a message called The Great Escape — using old-school magic, handcuffs, playing cards, and the story of Houdini to talk about something deeper:

The things that keep us trapped.

Shame.
Guilt.
False identity.

The labels we carry around.
And the truth that Jesus didn’t just come so we could celebrate one Sunday a year…

He came to set people free.

We've had several people ask us to post the full message online, so here it is.

If you’ve ever felt stuck… If you’ve ever wondered if you can really change… If you’ve ever felt defined by your past…
…this message is for you.
