What's Cookin'?

With Labor Day approaching, what shall you bring to the BBQ?
How about this refreshing recipe from Betty Hall?

YumYum Salad
Ingredients:
• 2 cups Crushed Pineapple (canned is ok)
• Juice from 1 lemon
• ½ cup Sugar
• 1 Package Gelatin
• ¾ cup finely shredded Cheddar Cheese
• ½ pint Whipping Cream

Directions:
In a medium saucepan, heat sugar, pineapple and lemon juice on medium-low heat until sugar dissolves; stirring frequently. Stir gelatin package in ½ cup cold water. Add gelatin to pineapple mixture and transfer to serving bowl. Let cool until it starts to gel. Add whipping cream and top with cheese. Refrigerate until completely set.
