The Summit of Ft. Payne A 12 month residential faith-based recovery home for women struggling with addiction and other life-controlling issues.

Twelve month faith-based women's residential intensive discipleship program for those struggling with addictions. There is no monthly fee to be in the program because our local churches and some businesses donate regularly to this ministry. Friends, we have a big project (well really 2 projects), and we need your help! We desperately need to add more bedrooms to our house. We currently have 11 residents with #12 coming tomorrow and #13 coming Monday. The need is there, and we have a ton of space— we just have to convert some spaces into bedrooms. The estimated cost per room is $500. Would you, your church, your business, or your family consider leaving your legacy at The Summit by sponsoring a new bedroom? You could do a full sponsorship or any amount, and we’ll be sure to put it toward the rooms. We don’t charge an intake fee for women to come to The Summit. We also do not receive state funding. So the Lord and our community keeps the lights on, and we trust that will continue. Now for the part 2– with the growing number of women, we’re outgrowing our shuttle bus. The ladies have already started praying that God would provide us with a second van. We ask that you join us in prayer for that and keep us in mind if you have any leads.

A very sweet & generous friend arranged for the ladies to be pampered today at New Beginning College of Cosmetology, and they had a BLAST!!! Many of them cried when they saw themselves all dolled up. Thank you to everyone who made this possible! I believe the ladies will remember this day for a long time.🩷

Happy Mother’s Day 🌸

In the week leading up to this day, the Lord impressed on the heart of one of our staff to encourage the ladies in what could be a very hard time for them. I’m going to share what she said here:

“For many years after I got sober, I would cry on Mother’s Day because of the shape I was in when my kids were little. One day the Lord spoke to me and told me that He had forgiven me and cast it as far as the east is from the west. Then I realized that God is all-knowing, and He already knew what decisions I was going to make and STILL blessed me with my kids. He still saw fit to make me a mother, and He still saw fit to make you a mother. So you deserve to be celebrated, and this can be the last one you ever spend away from your kids. God can redeem the time!”

This is a raw post, but this is real life. And if you’re reading this and it resonates with you, reach out and we’ll do everything we can to help you.

SERVE SATURDAYS kicks off tomorrow! We’re excited to have Happy Home Baptist Church coming out! They will be doing different projects, including building some raised garden beds for the ladies.

Thank you to everyone who is helping us!! We are leaving the list of yardwork needs up until we get all we need. One local family purchased some mulch from Lowe’s in our name, and we were able to go pick it up. If you’d like to do that, just let us know!
