If you would like to know more about the many ways to serve children's ministry, you are invited to attend a 20 minute meeting on Sunday, July 30th in room 215 at:
10:40-11:00 am
or
12:10-12:30 pm
Please let Debbie know if you can come.
This hallway is more than a baby sitting service.
This hallway is where a love for church is ignited.
Where child-like faith develops.
This hallway is where ministry happens.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s more than a drop-off and pick-up center.
It’s where moms find allies and dads find common ground.
Where parents feel seen, supported, and encouraged.
Where friendships are cultivated.
Where volunteers’ spiritual gifts are used.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s ministry that never holds a microphone.
Is not put on stage.
Is rarely thanked.
Is seldom even fully understood.
Nonetheless, this hallway is where Kingdom work transpires.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Baptisms may not happen in this hallway.
But the groundwork is laid in this hallway.
It’s where children learn to ask questions.
Where a passion for God’s Word is birthed.
Where church becomes a safe space.
Where church becomes a fun place.
This is where making disciples begins.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This hallway is often a make-it or break-it place for young families visiting for the first time.
This place is vital for a church to grow into a multi-generational congregation.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It takes an army to open this hallway.
An army full of humble, sacrificial, God-honoring people.
People who I personally cannot thank enough for pouring into our own children.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This isn’t a place where children go so they aren’t a distraction to the main attraction.
This is a place where children go to worship the main attraction – Jesus.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is children's ministry. Elementary. World Changers.
Whatever you call it, this is a mission field.
This is ministry.
This hallway is important.
