Our Australia summer interns are ready to go! They have received great training this week and been greatly prayed over by the staff of New International. Pray for them over the next 30 hours or so as they make their way Down Under! 🇦🇺🦘🐨

PRAYER REQUEST-Please pray for our Australian Christian Mission partners, Nathan and Marie Bollig. Nathan’s dad passed away recently so the Bolligs are making an unexpected trip to the states. Pray for the comfort of their Heavenly Father to cover them during this time as they say goodbye for now. Pray also that all the details of their time in the states will be worked out so they can spend quality time with their loved ones.

UPDATE! Nate received his bridging visa! Thanks for praying!!!

PRAYERS NEEDED! As I wait for my new visa application to be processed, a “bridging” visa was supposed to be automatically provided. The bridging visa extends my current visa and allows me to remain in Australia even if my current visa expires before my new visa is approved.

Unfortunately, this did not automatically happen and I am without a bridging visa. This means if I do not receive one I will need to be out of the country before March 6th. I’ve been in communication with immigration and they are aware of the matter. Immigration is manually processing a bridging visa, but with all the delays Covid has caused, there is no expected date it will be processed…

Will you pray that I will receive my bridging visa before March 6th, when my current visa expires? Will you also pray for wisdom as I look into a plan B and plan C? Not sure what those are yet, but I will be investigating options tomorrow. Proverbs 3:5-6 And pray I can faithfully submit to whatever God’s plans for me are! The first week of March is when all my Scripture classes are to kick off, so it would really hinder my work if I do end up leaving the country…

So blessed that Cassie Smith (newest South Pacific affiliate) was still in Florida to meet with us at her favorite Aussie Cafe! She is so close to going to Australia! Pray for her to meet generous people to complete her funding quickly!

Today in the states it’s Groundhog Day as well as a day to celebrate women in sports. We’re not sure if they have groundhogs in New Zealand (where it’s actually summer right now!) but they do have some pretty fierce women athletes! Meet the Black Ferns, New Zealand’s National women’s rugby team. We’d say they’re just as intimidating as the men’s team the All Blacks. 😤😤💪🏻💪🏻🏉🏉

What a great way to start 2022! Thank you so much for joining us as we pray for Australia and New Zealand, the church and our affiliates and partners there!
In the Southern Hemisphere the end of January means that Summer break is over and it’s back to school for another year. Just like the rest of the world the schools down under have had a rough time the last couple of years. Pray for the students, teachers, counselors, chaplains, volunteers and administrators as they start the 2022 school year.
Pray as well for the special religious education program in New South Wales, Australia. This program allows trained volunteers to teach scripture in the public schools. Australian Christian Mission provides many teachers for the schools in Newcastle. Pray that they will be able to consistently go into the schools and teach. Pray they will build good relationships with both the adults and kids at the schools and that God will be glorified through their efforts.

As we come close to finishing our month of prayer we want to pray once again for the church in Australia and New Zealand.
Pray-
That whenever they speak, words will be given to them so that they will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. Ephesians 6:19
That they will remain in Jesus, the Vine. John 15:5
That they will not grow tired of doing what is good but trust God’s promise that at the right time they will reap a harvest if they don’t give up. Galatians 6:9
