Some of you know that I used to run a group called ASK, an acronym for Ask, Search, Knock; which was short for Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and you will receive. Knock, and the door will be opened for you." The group included me, a physicist (my best friend), a chemical engineer (she in now leading the research for hydrogen-powered cars for GM), a Baptist pastor, a Rabbi, an Imam, and a leader of the Satani
c church. We decided that we would read my chosen Bible translation. Contemporary English Version (starting in Genesis) and discuss the passage - within our own perceptions and unique knowledge base. We would bring no biases. We would simply share our own perspectives. It was a learning experience for all of us. I learned that the Satanic church is the most religious of all religions. I also learned that the first book of the Bible was not Genesis, but Job. Job was written about the time Abram lived in Ur - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ur_Ka%C5%9Bdim (Iraq). Genesis was written by Moses many generations after the events. That being the case, I'd like to begin again; but ask for input from everyone. This time, it'll be an open Facebook forum. If any comments or discussions are offensive (decided by me), they will be deleted. It's meant to be an open discussion and debate, not a place to argue and fight. There's a HUGE difference.
