Today we give thanks to those who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today. It is an honor to get to care for the final resting spaces of thousands of veterans and their families and friends.

Pictured is a rainbow over the Cemetery and a young Patriot you might see around.

Also, our Yucca plants bloomed just this morning…a fitting start to the day.

Thank you to the local Boy Scouts for marking the many Veteran’s graves at the Cemetery.

Check out all the new flowers and plants!

These are thanks to our Beautification Specialist, Stacey Rich…this is Stacey’s first Spring at the Cemetery, and she has had a huge impact…we are grateful to have her here. She has also removed a bunch of honeysuckle, cleaned up around our lakes,
and done many other things to make the Cemetery more beautiful.

One takes you directly to Find-a-Grave, where you can search for a loved one’s exact location.

The other takes you to our Section Maps.

These links combined with the overall map can get you to any grave in the Cemetery.

Donna Hinkel, a frequent walker and nature enthusiast at Highland Cemetery, has made several bird feeder donations to the cemetery over the years.

Recently, Donna donated a wren house to the cemetery. As you can see, the House Wrens are very happy with their new lodging.

Thank you Donna!

More new additions to the cemetery, thanks to Gayle Pille’s birdhouses throughout the cemetery!

Also, thank you to our community for calling about the deer caught on our fence. We are happy to report that we were able to get him freed, and he ran away. Praying he heals and we see him running through the cemetery.
