What God has started in you, don't let it go out. πŸ”₯

In 2 Timothy 1, Paul gives Timothy a powerful charge: "Stir up the gift of God which is in you." The Greek literally means to FAN THE FLAME. God has placed something inside every believerβ€”salvation, spiritual gifts, His Word, His calling. But a fire needs to be intentionally fed, protected, and breathed on to grow.

Are you fanning the flame in your relationship with Jesus? Growth happens through God's Word, prayer, and surrounding yourself with other believers. This isn't a time for passive Christianity. God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Don't let the flame diminish. Be intentional. Get in His Word. Pray. Connect with His people. Whatever God has called you toβ€”whether a classroom, workplace, or homeβ€”He's positioned you there as a missionary for heaven. Fan the flame and watch God work.

What a great day of worship on The Hill!

Today was Student Takeover Sunday and Graduation Sunday, and it was such a special morning with our church family. Our student praise team helped lead worship, and we had the joy of honoring and praying over our high school and college graduates.

We are so thankful for the next generation and the way God is working in their lives. Congratulations, graduates! We are proud of you, praying for you, and excited to see how the Lord continues to lead you.

It was a great day on The Hill! πŸ™Œ

When was the last time you truly hungered for God's Word? When did you last shed tears over your own sin rather than judging others?

This Sunday's message challenged us with a powerful truth from 1 Peter 2:2 - as newborn babes, we should DESIRE the sincere milk of the Word. Not just read it out of duty, but crave it like a crying infant craves nourishment. We've become experts at pacifying our spiritual hunger with everything except what truly satisfies - relationships, achievements, distractions - while our souls remain empty.

Here's the hard truth: We can't grow as Christians with a closed Bible. We can't worship freely while sitting in unconfessed sin. And we can't reach a lost world when we're too busy examining everyone else's mess instead of crying out to our Father, "Hold me. Change me. Feed me."

Where are your tears? Not for others' failures, but for your own need of God's presence, His Word, and His cleansing? Stop trying to fill the void with temporary things. Turn to Jesus - He's what your soul is truly longing for.

So many conflicts aren’t about truth versus lies, but humility versus pride. Prayer helps us trade the need to be right for the desire to be Christlike.

This past Sunday on The Hill, we looked at the stories of women in Scripture and saw the faithfulness of God on display.

Through Hagar, we are reminded that God sees us.
Through Jochebed, we are reminded that God responds to surrendered faith.
Through the woman with the issue of blood, we are reminded that Jesus heals what nothing else can.
Through the woman at the well, we are reminded that God pursues us, even in the places we try to hide.

Different women. Different stories. Different struggles.
But the same faithful God.

Which reminder do you need most today?
God sees me. God hears me. God can heal me. God is pursuing me.
