Daily Watering for today 1/10/24

When you come to Jesus with your burdens, not only does He meet you in them and lift you up out of them, not only does He step into your situation and turn it around for your good and His glory, His Life begins to flow through you to everyone around you, too.

"I am come that they might have life and that they might have it abundantly." John 10:10

So, "come to Jesus" today and every day... "and live" your life even more abundantly.

Daily Watering for today 1/9/24

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him. ~Psalm 37:7

Feeling overwhelmed is an indicator of one of two things. Either we are serving two masters (the world, what others think, etc.) or we are trying to carry more than today's burden.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. ~James 1:4

Trust in the Lord. He is doing a major work in you right now. Say to yourself "All for His glory", and then give the pressures of this world back to Him to do with them what He does best.

Your Daily Watering for today 1/6/24

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. ~James 4:3

If there is no power on your prayers, it means you are praying from a carnal mind. In order to pray/ask appropriately, according to God's own heart, you have to know a little bit about the heart of Christ.

In order to do that, you have to spend time in His Word. There's just no getting around it. You have to spend time listening to His Holy Spirit.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. ~2 Timothy 2:15

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. ~1 Corinthians 2:10

If you are tired of praying to no avail, open your Bible and pray the scriptures over your situation. Pray them in Jesus' Name.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ~John 14:13

This way you KNOW that you are praying God's will and you are praying in His authority. Spend time meditating on His Words and let Him speak futher into them. Contemplate them. You WILL see power on your prayers.

It's all a part of His discipleship. His training. It's about relationship with Him. The more time you put in, the more miracles you will see result from it. He wants you to see results. It truly is His heart for us. Dive in! No more waiting.

Daily Watering for today 1/5/24

There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.~Proverbs 11:24

What King Solomon was saying here is that hoarding keeps you poor whereas distributing your God given resources to the right people and places keeps you blessed. Definitely something to pray and listen to the Holy Spirit about. We are called to be channels for distributing God's resources. Stay open to be used by Him. There is a healthy balance between keeping what you will actually use and letting go of excessive things. We can't do that if we, the body of Christ, are busy hoarding...
