A message from Sharee:
Next Tuesday, Eric and I will be leading our last Celebrate Recovery group at the current Harmony location in Fort Madison. We've been the ministry leaders since late spring 2021 and this is a ministry that we are so passionate about. When we first heard about CR in the fall of 2016, we thought that we could help others on their recovery journeys but we learned very quickly that we needed help ourselves. We helped launch the group in April 2017, and enjoyed building relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ then COVID hit. Sadly, our numbers never grew back to what we had pre-COVID. Now we're down to ourselves and a few regular attendees but sadly we've not been able to get men to commit to coming. Eric has been without regular men attendees for well over a year. After awhile this weighs on you but we were committed to it. We wanted the ministry to grow.
I'm happy to say that Celebrate Recovery at Harmony in Fort Madison isn't over though! We're taking a break for the summer and then this fall we will launch a Celebrate Recovery step study. This step study goes in depth with the 12 steps and 8 principals of Celebrate Recovery. They help you to realize the hurts, habits, and hang ups you have in your life. At the end of the step study, those that complete are offered to become group leaders for the small groups that meet weekly after a time of fellowship, worship, and a large group meeting. Then once we complete the step study and have a group of leaders, we will relaunch at the new Harmony Bible Church at 3301 Avenue L in Fort Madison.
If you have wondered what Celebrate Recovery is or are interested in joining the ministry please join us next week. We'd love to introduce you to the program! Just like the picture shows, it is for ALL hurts, hang-ups, habits, and HOPE! We hope you can join us and learn more about this wonderful ministry and what it can do in your life. 🧡 If you would like to join us, we will begin at 6 with a fellowship dinner before moving upstairs. Food is provided so if you're coming please let us know so we can have plenty available! Childcare is also available.

Ever wondered who Celebrate Recovery is for? The answer is EVERYONE! We hope you can join us tonight! Bring a friend!

Yes we know schools are canceled... again BUT we know everyone is tired of being stuck at home so we're going to have a Family night this week at Fort Madison Celebrate Recovery.

We'll watch a movie or maybe play some games or just use this as a chance to be social. Bring a dish to share and just enjoy time outside of the house.

Stay safe tomorrow!

This week in Celebrate Recovery, we start over with Step 1 of the lessons. We are now beginning our 7th year of working through hurts, habits, and hang-ups! The first step is Denial. If you want to learn more about CR, join us tomorrow at 6 for dinner or come to large group at 6:40. We share worship, celebration, and the lesson study before splitting into men and women's small groups.

Can't join us on Tuesdays, but want to help? We are always looking for people to contribute and meal or for backup childcare workers. If you are interested in helping please message our page and we can get you more info.

John the Baptist said, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30).

Sometimes we don’t see God because our focus has shifted from Him, onto our circumstances.

Join us tomorrow night for the best place to be in Fort Madison on Tuesday night at 6:00 to share a meal and 6:40 for our meeting.

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Start each day with praise or with a craze. Change begins with a single step followed by a series of steps. Let's break this cycle of dysfunctional because the reality is Nothing changes if nothing changes.

“You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭7‬ ‭

Please join us tomorrow night- Tuesdays at 6:00 to share a meal and 6:40 for our meeting.
