Today's "Sing for Joy" features music for the Feast of Creation in Christ. You'll notice that all the selections today are related to the lectionary scripture readings for Creation in Christ: the same scriptures we read in worship this morning.

This week, the Church around the world celebrates a brand new liturgical day, the Feast of Creation in Christ. Join us on Sing For Joy as we give thanks for the gifts of the earth through music.

The Feast of Creation in Christ began in the Orthodox Church in 1989. In April of this year, the Consultation on Common Texts, who are the compilers of the Revised Common Lectionary that most mainline Protestant churches in the US use, approved the addition of the Feast of Creation in Christ to the Lectionary. So join us TOMORROW as we celebrate this NEW (to us in the PCUSA) feast day of the Church! Worship begins at 10:45 AM and will include the Sacrament of the Eucharist. After Worship, be sure to stay for a potluck lunch! Come celebrate Creation in Christ with us!
