2026 Ash Wednesday Services are quickly approaching!

01/30/2026

In-person worship services and other religious activities for this Sunday (01 FEB 26) are cancelled.

Out of an abundance of caution and based on the current forecast of anywhere between 2-4 inches of snow Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning along with wind chills Sunday morning being below zero degrees, the factors contributing to this decision are as follows:

- Potential for snow accumulation (regarding amounts) to obscure existing patches of ice; therefore, creating a significant fall hazard outside the chapels.
- The extremely cold temperatures on Sunday morning significantly hampering our ability to conduct clearing operations for the snow that will have fallen on the sidewalks and entryways to the chapels.
- Many sidewalks on the base being closed forcing AIT soldiers who walk to services having to walk the roads (note: buses would still be able to run).
- Many civilian personnel who reside off base are still experiencing significant problems leaving their driveways/neighborhoods.
