What happens when a devoted monk begins searching the Scriptures for peace with God—and discovers a biblical truth that challenges the religious system of his day?
In this Bible study, we follow Martin Luther from his early years as a Catholic monk through his intense struggle with sin, guilt, confession, and salvation. We will explore what he began studying, the Scriptures that transformed his understanding of righteousness by faith, and the controversy that eventually placed him in direct conflict with the authority of Rome.

Pastor Lester Aubrey Parkinson is a third-generation Seventh-day Adventist minister whose journey of ministry and service has taken him across several continents. His theological education began at Oakwood University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Theology, followed by a Master of Divinity from Andrews University.
His ministry has included service in South Florida within the Southeastern Conference, as well as significant missionary and pastoral work in Africa, including Zimbabwe, Kenya, and South Africa. He has also ministered in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean.
Pastor Parkinson has served as pastor of Mount Olivet Seventh-day Adventist Church in Fort Lauderdale and has ministered internationally, including at Sandton Seventh-day Adventist Church in Johannesburg, South Africa.

A huge thank you to our amazing NHSDA church Education and Health Department leader for organizing an incredible back-to-school event!

Even with a afternoon shower down pouring. The kids had an amazing fun day. We loved giving away free backpacks and providing health screenings for kids, parents and community members. Together, we are getting our kids and community ready for a healthy, successful school year!

Understanding the Trinity: What does the Bible really teach about the Trinity? Is God one Person, or does Scripture reveal the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as distinct divine Persons within the one true God?

In this Bible study, we examine controversial teachings about the Trinity and test them directly against Scripture. We’ll look at important passages including John 1:1, John 4:24, John 14:16, John 17:5, Matthew 3:16–17, Matthew 28:19, Acts 5:3–4, and more.

Is Jesus God? Is Jesus the Father? Is the Holy Spirit a Person? What did Jesus mean when He said, “I and my Father are one”? And does “God is a Spirit” mean the Holy Spirit cannot be a Person?

Rather than relying on tradition or human opinion, let’s allow the Bible to interpret itself.
