Speaker: Elder Vanessa Williams
Scripture: Matthew 27:39-44 KJV; Luke 23:35 KJV
Subject: It Was His Choice

Message highlights:
The Power of Jesus' Choice: The people didn't question if Jesus could save—they said He saved others! It wasn't about His ability, but His choice to remain on the cross for us.

Recognized Identity: Even while hanging there, Jesus' true identity was recognized by the thief and later by the centurion.

A Solid Foundation: We should believe in Jesus because He is God, regardless of the signs and wonders we may or may not see.

Sacrifice for a Greater Purpose: Jesus went through persecution, ridicule, and suffering—not because He couldn't stop it, but because He made a conscious choice to save mankind.

The Comfort of the Holy Ghost: Jesus’ sacrifice was completed so that the Holy Spirit could be set up and available to comfort and guide us.

Pick Up Your Cross: Just as Simon of Cyrene picked up the physical cross for Jesus, we are called to pick up our spiritual cross and follow Him in obedience.

During our 5th Sunday service we received an impactful and encouraging word reminding us to “Simply Endure” & “Trust the Process”

First Speaker: Minister Starr Holder
Scripture: II Timothy 2:1-3, KJV
Subject: Simply Endure

• The Power of Grace: We cannot live a righteous life or fulfill our purpose through our own strength. It is only through God's grace, strength, and power that we can stay strong.
• A Cloud of Witnesses: We are surrounded by a history of faithful leaders and loved ones who have shown us what God’s strength looks like. Let's not cast away the values and teachings passed down to us.
• Called to Endure: True believers are called to endure hardship as good soldiers of Christ. To endure means to remain steadfast, to persevere, and to stay faithful through trials, sickness, and opposition without giving up.

• Traits of a Good Soldier:
o Obedience: A good soldier completely obeys their commanding officer. For us, that is Jesus Christ.
o Commitment: We must be fully committed in season and out of season, through the highs and the lows.

• Final Encouragement: The race isn't given to the swift or the strong, but to those who endure to the end. God knows the path you are taking, and He will see you through it!

Second Speaker: Deacon Jeffrey Deas
Scripture: John 5:3-7, ERV
Subject: Trust the Process

• Trust the Process: The man spent 38 years waiting by the pool, knowing that the water had the power to heal him, yet he struggled to believe he could actually get in. Sometimes the process takes longer than we expect, but we must keep trusting God.
• Moving Past Excuses: When Jesus asked the man if he wanted to be healed, the man immediately offered excuses about why he couldn't get into the water. In our own lives, we must stop making excuses, stop blaming our surroundings, and lean entirely on faith.
• The Power of a Word: Jesus didn't physically drop the man into the pool; He simply gave him a command: "Rise, take up your bed, and walk." God's deliverance and blessings don't always come in the grand strategy we expect—sometimes it just takes a single word.

• Action Required: Miracles happen as quickly as it takes to obey. We have to get up from a state of doing nothing, step into what we are praying for, and actively walk in faith.

Trust God
Subtopic: Benefits of Trusting God
Psalm 71:5-6 AMP

Sister Felecia Spencer reminded our Youth during service today of the following:
> God is dependable and He knows you personally 💯.
> He’s been writing your story since before you were even born! Lean into Him.
> It doesn't mean life won’t have challenges, but it guarantees you’ll always stand strong, stay confident, and walk in total victory. 🙌✨

Here are 5 benefits of trusting God:
1. Trust in God gives stability and confidence - Psalm 71:5-6 AMP
2. Trust in God develops maturity early - Lamentations 3:25-27 MSG
3. Trust in God helps us stay pure - Psalm 119:9 ERV
4. Trust in God removes fear and insecurity - Jeremiah 1:7-8 NLT
5. Trust in God brings direction - Proverbs 3:5-6 ERV

When we trust God fully, He shapes both our character and our future.

Our Pastor, Elder Vanessa Williams brought a word that shook the house! Diving into Psalms 139:14, she reminded us that we aren't just "here," but we were intentionally crafted by the Master Architect.

Key highlights from today's message "Made This Way":

✝️Elder Vanessa emphasized that before your mother or father ever thought of you, God had a blueprint. You weren't just born; you were built for a specific purpose.
✝️Stop apologizing for the things that make you different. Those quirks, that voice, and your specific personality are the tools God gave you to reach people no one else can.
✝️When the scripture says we are "fearfully and wonderfully made," it means God took His time on you. You aren't a "rough draft"—you are a finished masterpiece in progress.
✝️Since God made you, only He has the right to define you. Don't let the world’s "labels" override God's "creation."
✝️ Emphasized that each person is a unique creation, unlike any other, and not from an "assembly line."
✝️Even twins, who may look alike, have unique fingerprints, proving their individual distinctiveness.
✝️Returning to the Manufacturer. God is portrayed as the manufacturer of the human body. When something is wrong (illness, aging), one can "return to the manufacturer" through prayer to ask for a touch or healing.

👉🏾" Fearfully" means to be made with awe and reverence. The Hebrew word is Yare (or Yara).
👉🏾"Wonderfully" means to be set apart, unique, and individually crafted. The Hebrew word Pala was mentioned, meaning "created distinctively."
