This year the Fort Lauderdale Cemeteries will make over 800 burials. There are basically two types of families that we serve. Those that have planned ahead... and those that have not. Fortunately, about 80% of the families we serve planned ahead in one way or another. Some families had everything planned ahead and paid for while others at least had their spaces selected.
Planning ahead doesn't only save you money by locking in today’s prices, more importantly it removes this burden from those you care about most on the worst day of their lives. It is our mission to make it so no family experiences a loss without having planned ahead.
Planning is a part of life. We plan for months to make sure our wedding is perfect. We set aside money at an early age to make sure we will be able to retire someday. We even plan for events that may never happen by purchasing insurance on our cars, homes, and lives. Why wouldn't we plan for something that we absolutely know will happen?
We have heard many excuses over the years for why people don’t plan ahead. The #1 reason being that they don’t want to upset their family by making them think about their death. What they don’t realize is, by not expressing their wishes now, they are doing more harm to their family by placing this future financial and emotional burden on them.
The truth is cemetery property can be very affordable, although prices double every 10 years on average. Cemetery property is made affordable by taking advantage of planning ahead discounts and financing offers. Unfortunately once there is a death, all expenses must be paid in full at that time.
We hope that during this holiday season of togetherness and giving that you will think about what is truly important. Make this the year that you give your family the gift of peace of mind. Peace of mind from the financial burden. Peace of mind from the emotional burden. Peace of mind of knowing that on one of the worst days of their lives, when you won’t be there to comfort or support them, that your final wishes are being realized. Your loved ones won’t have to make any of these very important, very permanent decisions and they won’t have any unexpected expenses. They are free to celebrate your life.
If you are ready to discuss your options with our licensed, professional memorial counselors, please give us a call to schedule an appointment. There is no pressure and no obligation to make a purchase. To thank you for your time will we provide you with our exclusive Expressed Wishes™ Planning Portfolio. This is a helpful document that records all of your important information in one place so your loved ones are able to access it quickly and easily when you are no longer able to provide them with the information.

At some point it becomes too late to plan ahead

The moment a person starts thinking about his or her own mortality varies greatly, but there’s something about being in your 30s and 40s that makes it seem more real.
