My Father’s Words to Me
Do you think I have forgotten you? Do you think I have left you alone? Are you feeling non-existent, as though you are out here on your own? My child, you are not forgotten, though it may seem so; I have protected and cared for you, and I have made you aware of the enemy's snares.
My child, Satan desires to sift you as wheat; (Lk. 22:31) he has assigned demons to you; their mission has been to destroy you, but my child, I have seen you through. No weapon formed against you will prosper (Is.54:17) in this warfare you’re in. Remember, “The race is not given to the swift, or the battle to the strong.” (Ec.9:11) but to the one who endures to the end!
If you were in your own power, a dead man you would be. Satan would have killed you by now, declaring his victory. You know this is not your battle; this battle belongs to me. I am the one who has delivered and set you free.
Like a baby, only knowing its mother's love, you cling to me. I have watched you cry, I have watched you hurt, I have seen your agony. You have called out, and have questioned; you have said I do not understand. Child, you must remember, “My thoughts are not your thoughts.” (Is.55:8) nor are my plans your plans.
I am God, I am your Father, I sit high upon my throne. I see you through my Son Jesus, “the chief cornerstone.” (Eph.2:20). I said, “I’d never leave or forsake you”. (Jos. 1:5) In this I have kept these words to you. You must trust me and believe me; you are my child, I am your father, and I do love you.
