Rev. Fr. Anthony Mulderry (SK) is being honored on Wednesday at the K. of C. St. Patrick’s Party! There are still spots left. “Father Tony” came to Broward County 50 years ago to serve at St. Anthony’s. He later was founding pastor at All Saints Church & School in Sunrise, then spent 14 years leading St. Gabriel’s parish. Most of his 52 years as a Catholic Priest have been spent serving in what is now KoC District 71.

At the 112th Annual Florida State K. of C. Convention in May in Orlando, the councils' delegates (2 from each council) voted unanimously to reelect the State Officers. Serving as State Officers again are: Donnie Goolesby (State Deputy), Donald Kahrer (State Secretary), Scott O'Connor (State Treasurer), Raphael Lopez (State Advocate), and Robert Urrutia (State Warden), with Paul Koppie (Immediate Past State Deputy) and Monsignor Thomas J. Skindeleski (State Chaplain). The Worthy State Deputy belongs to Council 10513 in the Panhandle. Three state officers live in our area. Brothers O'Connor (Co. 12240) and Lopez (Co. 13045) hail from Pembroke Pines. Our Very Reverend State Chaplain serves as pastor of St. Vincent Ferrer in Delray Beach (Council 13996).

Our Worthy District Deputy, Brother John G. Rebescher, was appointed to lead the newly re-drawn District 73 last year by our State Deputy Donnie Goolesby (Jul. 1, 2015). Mr. Rebescher belongs to Council 13355, where he is a Past Grand Knight, and is a parishioner of St. Malachy Church. He has served this year as Faithful Navigator of Edward A. O'Neil Assembly 1534. John and his wife Lillie live in Lauderhill.

The pins are the ten official parishes of District 73. The Coral Springs Council (8838) meets at St. Andrew's, and has relationships with three parishes. The Fort Lauderdale Council (3080) meets at their own hall (pictured as the star) and has Parish Round Tables at five parishes.
