Kathy Brodeur of our Congregational Care & Health Ministry brings us together in prayer. We pray for all of our intentions...
PRAYER FOR UNITY AMID DIVERSITY
God of all creation,
You have made each of us unique, with different backgrounds, gifts, and perspectives. Yet You call us to unity in Christ, despite our differences. Lord, help us to celebrate diversity while seeking the common ground that unites us in You.
Teach us to love one another as You have loved us, without prejudice or judgment. Help us to listen with open hearts and to learn from one another. May we see the beauty of Your design in the variety of cultures, traditions, and experiences around us. Your Word reminds us, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28) May this truth guide our interactions and inspire us to build bridges of understanding. Lord, let our diversity reflect the creativity of Your handiwork, and let our unity demonstrate the power of Your Spirit at work within us. Help us to build communities where everyone feels valued, respected, and loved. Amen
AND
“Those who have left the deepest impression on this sin-cursed earth have been men and women of prayer.”
– D.L. Moody
Dwight Lyman Moody (1837 – 1899) was an American evangelist and publisher connected with Keswickianism, a Protestant theological tradition within Evangelical Christianity that espoused a distinct teaching on the doctrines of entire sanctification, healing, and spiritual gifts. He founded the Moody Church, Northfield School and Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts (now Northfield Mount Hermon School), Moody Bible Institute, and Moody Publishers. One of his most famous quotes was "Faith makes all things possible...
Love makes all things easy." Don't we sometimes feel that our world is so full of sin, hatred, and violence that we wonder how humankind will survive? Does faith make all things possible? We surely hope so as we pray for peace in the world.
