Hello, Holy Family!

As a friendly reminder, Father will hold a parent and participant meeting after Mass on Sunday, September 13, for:

• Parents of children preparing for First Holy Communion
• Parents of youth preparing for Confirmation
• Adults participating in OCIA

Father will discuss what to expect throughout the faith-formation year and review the required documents. These may include Baptism and First Holy Communion certificates. OCIA participants may also need to provide a marriage certificate, if applicable.

We warmly encourage everyone involved to attend this important meeting. Thank you for your continued faith, support, and commitment to our Holy Family Catholic community.

Dear Holy Family,

With joyful hearts, we are excited to announce the kickoff of our 2026–2027 Religious Education year!

10:10 AM – 11:10 AM
All Religious Education classes will begin, including OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults). We warmly welcome our children, youth, adults, families, and all those who desire to grow deeper in their Catholic faith.

What a beautiful blessing to have Chaplain (Col.) Chul W. (Philip) Jeon join us this morning! We are truly grateful for his presence with our Catholic Community.

Today’s Scripture: 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Gospel: Matthew 16:21–27

Jesus reminds us:

“Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”

Today’s readings remind us that following Christ is not always the easiest path, but when we place our trust in God, He gives us the strength to carry our crosses and continue forward in faith. Let us give thanks to God Almighty for His endless love, His protection, and His presence among us. May He continue to bless our Fort Irwin Holy Family Catholic Community, our families, our Soldiers, our military families, our chaplains, and everyone who calls Fort Irwin home.

Hello, Fort Irwin Holy Family Catholic Community!

We are excited to announce an upcoming Catechist training opportunity. November 17-19 @1800-2200. This is a 12hours Requirement to recieve Full Certification Credit. This training is not only to our current Catechist, but also to anyone interested in learning more about our Catholic faith and growing deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

This couse seeks to inspire and encourage Catechist and participants to deepen their knowledge of Jesus Christ, relationship with Him, and understanding of the Catholic faith through sacramental life of the Church and the practice of Christian prayer.

Whether you are already serving as a Catechist, are considering becoming one, or simply desire to learn more about Catholic Faith, we warmly welcome you to join us.

Come learn, grow in faith, and continue answering Christ's call to make disciples.

AUGUST:

A MONTH OF FAITH, HOPE & DEVOTION

As we begin this new month, let us open our hearts to God's grace and draw closer to Jesus through the loving example of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

August is a beautiful reminder to deepen our faith by attending Holy Mass, praying the Rosary, spending time in Eucharistic Adoration, reading Sacred Scripture, and sharing Christ's love through acts of kindness and charity.

May Our Blessed Mother guide us to trust God's plan, even in moments of uncertainty, and lead us ever closer to her Son.

Our Holy Family Catholic Community extends our heartfelt gratitude to the visiting priest from Fort Carson who graciously joined Father Goulet in celebrating the Holy Eucharist today.

Today's readings remind us that God is always faithful and provides abundantly for His people. In the Gospel, Jesus feeds the multitude with five loaves and two fish, showing that when we place our trust in Him, He multiplies His blessings beyond what we can imagine. We are reminded that Christ satisfies our deepest hunger and calls us to live lives of faith, generosity, and compassion.

Our Holy Family Catholic Community extends our heartfelt gratitude to Father David Burke for joining us today and celebrating the Holy Eucharist on the Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time, today's readings remind us that the greatest treasure is not found in worldly riches, but in seeking God's wisdom and placing His Kingdom above all else.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to our wonderful Vacation Bible School (VBS) children for sharing your joyful performance with our Catholic Community today. Thank you to our dedicated VBS volunteers, and families for your time, support, and commitment in helping our children grow closer to Jesus.
