Hello, Fort Irwin Holy Family!

A friendly reminder that there will be no Religious Education classes tomorrow, Sunday, October 11. Classes will resume on Sunday, October 18, from 10:10–11:10 a.m.

Tomorrow is the Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time. The readings are:

• First Reading: Isaiah 25:6–10a
• Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 23:1–3a, 3b–4, 5, 6
• Second Reading: Philippians 4:12–14, 19–20
• Gospel: Matthew 22:1–14

These readings invite us to trust in God’s care, draw strength from Christ, and respond faithfully to His invitation. Take a little time to reflect on God’s Word together as a family.

Our Holy Family Catholic Community is warmly invited to join our friends at St. Joseph Parish for “Live Your Faith” on November 7, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Enjoy a special day of faith, music, prayer, and fellowship with Catholic guest speaker Paul J. Kim and musical guest Francis Cabildo. The day includes inspiring talks, a parish luncheon, a praise and worship workshop, and Mass at 4:00 p.m.

Hello Holy Family Catholic Community, October 4 is the Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time. In the Gospel Reading, Jesus shares the Parable of the Tenants, reminding us that everything God has entrusted to us, our faith, our gifts, our families, and our community, is a blessing. We are called to be faithful stewards and to produce good fruit through our love, service, and care for one another.

October 4 is also associate with St. Francis of Assisi, reminds us to live with humility, compassion, peace, and love for all of God’s creation. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us.

Religious Education: Parents and guardians, please remember to sign your children in and out of their classrooms. Thank you for helping us keep our children safe.

This past weekend was filled with joyful and blessed celebrations!

Congratulations to Andrew and Mayra on the convalidation of their marriage in the Catholic Church. Through this beautiful sacrament, they renewed their commitment to one another before God and received the Church’s blessing upon their marriage.

May Christ always remain at the center of your marriage, strengthening your love, faith, and commitment throughout your journey together.

“Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate.” Mark 10:9

May God continue to bless Andrew and Mayra with a lifetime of love, joy, and faithfulness. Congratulations!

Hello, Fort Irwin Holy Family Catholic Community!

Today, we joyfully welcome everyone as we begin our new Religious Education year!

Parents of children enrolled in First Holy Communion and Confirmation, along with all adults enrolled in OCIA, will meet with Father Goulet today in the LAR to discuss important sacramental requirements.

Class locations:

Kindergarten and 1st Grade: Small building , Building 314
2nd Grade First Holy Communion: Building 317
3rd and 4th Grade: Building 317
5th and 6th Grade: Building 317
Confirmation: Room 3 inside the Chapel
OCIA: LAR today; beginning next Sunday, Room 2 inside the Chapel

Due to a shortage of volunteer catechists, the 3rd–4th and 5th–6th both grade will combine and classes will meet in Building 317.

We warmly welcome all our children, families, catechists, and OCIA participants. May God bless us as we begin this faith-filled journey together!

Hello, Holy Family!

As a friendly reminder, Father will hold a parent and participant meeting after Mass on Sunday, September 13, for:

• Parents of children preparing for First Holy Communion
• Parents of youth preparing for Confirmation
• Adults participating in OCIA

Father will discuss what to expect throughout the faith-formation year and review the required documents. These may include Baptism and First Holy Communion certificates. OCIA participants may also need to provide a marriage certificate, if applicable.

We warmly encourage everyone involved to attend this important meeting. Thank you for your continued faith, support, and commitment to our Holy Family Catholic community.

Dear Holy Family,

With joyful hearts, we are excited to announce the kickoff of our 2026–2027 Religious Education year!

All Religious Education classes will begin, including OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults). We warmly welcome our children, youth, adults, families, and all those who desire to grow deeper in their Catholic faith.

What a beautiful blessing to have Chaplain (Col.) Chul W. (Philip) Jeon join us this morning! We are truly grateful for his presence with our Catholic Community.

Today’s Scripture: 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Gospel: Matthew 16:21–27

Jesus reminds us:

“Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”

Today’s readings remind us that following Christ is not always the easiest path, but when we place our trust in God, He gives us the strength to carry our crosses and continue forward in faith. Let us give thanks to God Almighty for His endless love, His protection, and His presence among us. May He continue to bless our Fort Irwin Holy Family Catholic Community, our families, our Soldiers, our military families, our chaplains, and everyone who calls Fort Irwin home.

Hello, Fort Irwin Holy Family Catholic Community!

We are excited to announce an upcoming Catechist training opportunity. November 17-19 @1800-2200. This is a 12hours Requirement to recieve Full Certification Credit. This training is not only to our current Catechist, but also to anyone interested in learning more about our Catholic faith and growing deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

This couse seeks to inspire and encourage Catechist and participants to deepen their knowledge of Jesus Christ, relationship with Him, and understanding of the Catholic faith through sacramental life of the Church and the practice of Christian prayer.

Whether you are already serving as a Catechist, are considering becoming one, or simply desire to learn more about Catholic Faith, we warmly welcome you to join us.

Come learn, grow in faith, and continue answering Christ's call to make disciples.

On behalf of Father Goulet and the Fort Irwin Holy Family Catholic Community, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our wonderful volunteers who took time out of their busy schedules to attend yesterday's training. Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EHMC) and Altar Servers.
