St. Lucy's Guide to Disability Inclusion in Faith Based Organizations My name is Bob Furtado. He serves on the Committee of Persons with Physical Disability of the National Catholic Partnership on Disability.

I am a blind Roman Catholic who started this page to provide a venue for people with disabilities to share our ideas, experiences and resources in order to build community and deepen our faith. Robert Furtado
Bob is a blind, seasoned disability advocate and theologian who has partnered with The American Academy on Religion and The Society on Biblical Literature. He has been a member of the Insti

tute on Theology and Disability for fifteen years. His work history includes seven years as the Director of an Independent Living Center. In his retirement, he is pursuing a PhD in Practical Theology at Aberdeen University and promoting disability advocacy within the Church.
