A lot of conflict isn’t caused by what happened…
It’s caused by how fast we respond.
When tension shows up, your flesh wants speed:
Say it now.
Prove your point now.
Defend yourself now.
But Scripture gives a different strategy:
“Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.” — James 1:19
Quick to listen doesn’t mean you accept disrespect.
It means you refuse to let emotion drive the moment.
Because when you slow down, you:
-Hear what’s really being said
-Avoid saying what you’ll regret
-Make room for God’s wisdom
Sometimes the most powerful response is a calm one.
A pause.
A deep breath.
A simple, steady tone.
You don’t have to win the argument.
You can win your peace.

Sun morning in the Pollina Avenue Holiness Church, at the end of the service, we gathered in the aisle to pray. I placed a microphone in the middle so that anyone could use it and lead us in prayer. It was a beautiful sound that 5 men in our church took turns to lead us by faith, to Gods Throne! We closed by singing - We Are Standing On Holy Ground. Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
