As we begin the new year and look to make healthy changes in our lives, it's beneficial to replace old habits with new habits. Pastor Dave is encouraging each of us to join him as he reads through the Bible in a year. I'm excited to begin this journey with others and really dig in to God's word, however, I know it will take commitment and I, for one, need some tools to keep me focused and on track.
There are many options available online and through apps for your phone or table. I'm going to be using the reading plan available through bible.com. Here is a link if you'd like to have a look.

I have to admit, it can seem like a daunting task and I got off to a rough start. We've had some health issues that caused me to fall behind, but this plan only takes about 15 minutes a day and it tracks your progress so you know exactly where you left off. It also has the option of having it read allowed to you as you follow along. Last night I was able to bring myself current through a combination of reading it to myself and having the application read it to me. Not only that, when I reached the end of the scheduled reading, I was anxious to keep going.
Won't you join us as we read through the Bible this year? It's not too late to start a new habit that is sure to reap benefits for the rest of your life.
If you have tools you like to use, feel free to share them in the comments. It's going to be an AMAZING year of growth and discovery as we learn first hand the message God has for each of us and begin to apply His word to our lives!
