Bethel Baptist Family,
Greetings from your pastor. I hope you had a blessed week. This Lord’s Day will be exciting. It is a typical Sunday to be sure, but a day with special plans. This Sunday is our Fifth Sunday Fellowship, and this is always a great day. After our worship service we will fellowship with a picnic-style lunch and a water play time for our children and perhaps some daring adults. Bring your favorite dessert to share. Also, bring someone with you. Make no mistake, all will enjoy the followship and the fun.
But something much more important will happen and be said from God’s word before our fellowship time. We begin a new sermon series called “The Sermon on the Mount”. All should be familiar with it, but someone you know may not be. The Sermon on the Mount is not an ordinary sermon nor an extraordinary sermon. The Sermon on the Mount is the greatest words ever given to mankind directly from the mouth of God. The Sermon on the Mount stands far above any and all words ever spoken. Jesus Christ addressed everything and everyone in the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount cannot be ignored because nothing is ignored, and it is not politically correct. Come this Sunday, invite someone this Sunday, share this sermon with someone this week. Don’t miss the most important words ever spoken to YOU from the one and only living God.
