We invite you to join us on Sunday, September 13th as we dedicate our worship service to pay tribute to the First Responders that we have lost, and celebrate those who carry on their work, continuing to place themselves in harms way to serve and protect others. John 15:13 says "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends", and many have done just that. We hope to see you on 9/13 as we fill our sanctuary with tributes to the brave among our communities.

The greatest threat to worship isn't always false religion.

Sometimes it's true religion that slowly begins to imitate the world.

The danger is subtle.

Little by little...

our preferences replace reverence.

our comfort replaces conviction.

our experience replaces His glory.

Long before today's culture wars, A.W. Tozer warned:

"Worship is no longer worship when it reflects the culture around us more than the Christ within us."

Worship isn't measured by how much we enjoy it.

It's measured by whether Christ is honored.

The church was never called to echo the culture.

It was called to exalt Christ.

So the question isn't whether our worship is modern or traditional.

The question is this:
When people leave our gatherings...
are they talking more about the experience...
or more about Jesus?
