The Ecumenical Catholic Communion

We are members of the Ecumenical Catholic Communion (ECC), a confederation of over thirty independent Catholic communities, specialized ministries, and religious orders in America and several European countries. Each community is self-governed. The Community, Mary of Magdala

Our community is modeled after the first three centuries of the early Christian communit

ies and committed to the principles which they upheld: social justice, unity amid diversity, equality of clergy and laity, and governance by the people. We are a Vatican II Church

We are fully Catholic in every way and retain the familiar language of the Mass. We remain committed to the declaration of the Second Vatican Council that the Church is the people of God. We welcome and recognize the value of all people regardless of their religion, social status, race, country of origin, nationality, gender, marital status, or sexual orientation. We uphold the dignity of all people because everyone is created in the image of God. Paul proclaimed that all are members of the one Body of Christ, and of each other. (Romans 12:5)

Established in 2012, we continue to grow and support our members as they listen to Holy Spirit. We work to transform themselves, our local community and our world. We promote compassion and love in action. We work for equality and inclusion. We seek to fully live in, with and through the teachings of Jesus. “...act justly...love mercy....walk humbly with your God.”
