The long-awaited renovation of the Community Life Center (formerly the Education Building) is officially underway! As we begin this exciting new chapter, we’ll also experience some temporary changes to parking and building access—𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆.

𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘:The entrance near the offices will be closed for the next 2–3 months.

𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦: Please use the north door near the kitchen to enter the building during the week. (All other doors will be locked.)

𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦: The narthex doors will open at 8:00 a.m. and remain open throughout the morning. The north door opens at 8:30 a.m. and locks at 10:05 a.m.—after that, please enter through the narthex doors.

A big thank you to those who have volunteered to park offsite—your help truly makes a difference! Accessible and limited-mobility parking will still be available in the south lot. For a helpful map and more details, visit our website.

We’re so grateful for your grace, flexibility, and good humor as we navigate this exciting season of growth together. See you soon!

"𝙊 𝙂𝙤𝙙, 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙒𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙," by Carolyn Winfrey Gillette
God, give us faith and wisdom
To be your healing hands;
Give open minds that listen
To truth from all your lands.
Give strength to work for justice;
Grant love that casts out fear.
Then peace and not destruction
Will be the victor here.

𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗬 𝗕𝗜𝗥𝗗 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗚—Ladies, join us for the 2025 Women’s Retreat, Listening for God in the Chaos on October 24–26 at the YMCA of the Rockies, led by Dr. Louise Westfall. This retreat invites us to listen for God’s healing and peace in a divided, anxious world—not by escaping, but by engaging more deeply. Through Celtic spirituality, female perspectives, and Biblical wisdom, we’ll explore how God speaks, learn to overcome distractions, and discover grace in waiting, questioning, resisting, and trusting. Along the way, we’ll sing, laugh, pray in new ways, breathe, stretch, and maybe even paint—nurturing body and soul while opening ourselves to transformation, hope, and connection. The cost is $300/single room and $200/person/double room, however, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟱.

𝘼 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜
For the children killed and the children wounded, for parents, families and all who grieve —
𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆.

For the people of Minneapolis, shaken and afraid —
𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆.

For healers, helpers and all who keep vigil —
𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆.

For our nation, trapped in the epidemic of gun violence —
𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝘀.

For courage to pursue the things that make for peace —
𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲.

Holy Savior, Prince of Peace, you wept at a tomb and gathered children in your arms.
We believe you are weeping now —
weeping with parents whose arms are empty,
with siblings who cannot comprehend absence,
with our Catholic neighbors numb with shock.

Hold the dead in your mercy.
Hold the wounded in your healing.
Hold the terrified in your tenderness.

Forgive us, God, for our numbness, our quick forgetting, our resignation to violence as “just the way things are.”
Deliver us from our excuses, that we may choose the labor of peace:
to protect children, to confront powers profiting from weapons and fear,
to build a more just society where all your children can flourish.

𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆.
𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆.
𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝘆. Amen.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance is on the job! If you are looking for a way to help our friends in Texas after the devastating floods, donate to Presbyterian Disaster Assistance’s U.S. Flooding Response: https://pcusa.org/.../dr000191-disaster-relief-us-flooding

💚 Our hearts are with Mission Presbytery, the people of Kerrville and the Texas Hill Country, and especially our friends at Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly following the catastrophic flooding along the Guadalupe River.

We are deeply moved by the courage and compassion of the Mo-Ranch staff, who not only ensured the safety of every guest, camper, and colleague—but are now turning their attention to helping neighbors in need, even as they face damage and disruption themselves. Their witness is a reminder that leadership is love in action.

Ferncliff stands with you. Through our Disaster Assistance Center, and in partnership with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Church World Service, and Gilmont’s Disaster Depot in Grace Presbytery, we join a faithful network bringing hope, healing, and practical support to communities in crisis.

Even in the darkest moments, the strength of connection and compassion lights the way.
