14DEC Advent Focus - JOY

Joy is not the denial of hardship; it is the quiet confidence that God is already at work within it. This joy is disciplined, resilient, and grounded in promise rather than circumstance.

Biblical joy is covenantal, not emotional. It flows from trust in God’s faithfulness, even when deliverance is not yet visible. Advent joy looks forward with clarity, not naΓ―vetΓ©. It rejoices because God keeps His word.

Reflection:
Waiting refines desire. Joy reminds us why we wait. The world has not won; the Lord is coming. Advent joy trains the soul to celebrate in hope before relief arrives.

Crossroads Chapel Community Chili Cook-Off 🌢️✨

Our chapel family showed up strong with homemade recipes, creative flavors, and plenty of friendly competition. Events like this remind us how blessed we are to belong to a community that knows how to share joy, encourage one another, and build genuine connections.

Thank you to everyone who cooked, tasted, voted, and served...you made this event unforgettable!

Stronger together. Grateful for this chapel family.

This morning, five Crossroad Members publicly professed their faith in Jesus Christ through water baptism, a beautiful outward sign of the new life God is working within them.

Watching each one rise again in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, reminded all of us that God is still moving powerfully in the hearts of His people.

Water baptism is a personal and public declaration: β€œI belong to Jesus Christ. My past is forgiven. My future is in His hands.”

Pls contact us if you would like information about being water baptized.

This past Sunday CH Fisher preached on Psalm 139:1-14 and asked "What is the benefit of being known by God?"

"God’s knowledge of us offers comfort and assurance. It means we are fully understood, deeply loved, and never forgotten. There's a sense of security in knowing that the Creator of the universe knows us personally, with all of our strengths and flaws, yet still chooses to love and guide us despite all of that, not because of who we are –
BUT BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS."

On Sunday, CH Huenefeld kicked off our new series, exploring the Acts of the early Church, by teaching through Acts 1:1-8

As a church, we cannot overlook the importance of Jesus’ ascension.

In John 16:7, Jesus himself tells us that it is better for Him to ascend. Jesus ascended to rule with God the Father and to send the Holy Spirit to be with each believer.

There is power in the Spirit, and there is power of witness.

Power in the Spirit comes from being baptized in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, is a helper, comforter, counselor, and advocate! He exalts and brings glory to Christ. The Holy Spirit is available to ALL.

Power of Witness is not a sales pitch, it is a working of the Holy Spirit through us. The Holy Spirit leads, and we are obedient. Your greatest witness is a life changed by a loving and merciful Savior- Jesus Christ.

How can we witness to our neighbors, coworkers, city, our country, and our world?
How can we reach beyond boundaries to witness to those different than us?

On Easter, CH Mitchell finished our series looking at sayings from the Last 7 days of Jesus Christ. We learned that the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the archway of hope for believers.

How can we have hope from the resurrection?

1. Our hope is reasonable
We have a credible and reliable testimony of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And this story, if true, is the most important story in human history!

2. Our hope is realized
The resurrection means the ransom of our sin is paid. The Lord keeps his promises; He has shown Himself to be reliable through salvation through the cross. And God has also promised us eternal life, the great reunion with Him!

π˜‰π˜Άπ˜΅, 𝘸𝘩𝘒𝘡 π˜₯𝘰 𝘸𝘦 π˜₯𝘰 𝘒𝘴 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘒π˜ͺ𝘡 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘡𝘩π˜ͺ𝘴 𝘦𝘡𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘒𝘭 𝘭π˜ͺ𝘧𝘦 𝘒𝘯π˜₯ 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘒𝘡 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘯π˜ͺ𝘰𝘯?

-We examine ourselves! Do you feel hope, or anxiety?
-We tell our story! If you have experienced new life through Jesus, you have a story to tell! And this broken and dark world needs to hear it.
-We seek Him and follow Him! The angel told the witnesses, β€œHe is going before you”! He has made the way for you!

We need a hope that doesn’t shift with our circumstances. A hope that remains ahead of us and helps us move forward! Because of His death and resurrection, we can have Hope in Jesus’ return! We have victory because of what He has done. And that hope will remain until we see His face.

Our Lord is alive, and we can live too!
