Setting monuments are always emotional for the family, when you set your own grandsons it’s a little harder. We’re always pushing the envelope on what can be done, our newest technology allows us to get finer detail and brighter colors. Introducing glass art technology. Older technology uses paint to color the picture, our glass art technology uses colored glass. The advantage to color glass the color will never fade over time. What a perfect day, especially for being the end of January. We were honored to help Sergeant Cory Wride’s family with a memorial that will tell his story. Thanks to Sergeant Garrett Dutson, Sergeant Max Morgan. It was a pleasure working with you. All my great employees that make this all happen. Kelly Devenish called and asked if we could help on a project and once he told me what the project was, we were all in. There were many other businesses that helped us as the project grew and I want to thank them also.

CED- Kevin Wirfs donated the solar light
Coleman X- Kyle Coleman donated his equipment and trucks
Delta Stone- Ryan Farr donated the etching work
Wheeler and Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Homes- Travis Dimick donated granite
Green Tech Construction- Kurt Antonino donated granite

The Wyoming Headstones difference!

What can our customers expect when the final death date for your loved one is inscribed on a existing monument? The industry standard is to inscribe the death date, paint the name and dates on the monument and set it back out in the cemetery if it's even removed. Before photo shows what the monument looks like when only the industry standard is done. Several steps are taken to ensure your loved ones monument is perfect once it's returned back at the cemetery. First, the mortuaries or customers call us and let's us know that the monument needs to be picked at the cemetery and the death date inscribed on the monument. Our office staff will gather the necessary information, Name, cemetery, date of passing and contact information. Our staff will contact the cemetery and find the monument location. Next our staff will go and pick up the monument and bring it to our shop. Most of the cemeteries require the monument to be removed before the cemetery will dig the grave. Since the monument needs to be removed, we bring the monument into our shop where we are in a controlled environment. Most, but not all monument companies will leave the monument out in the cemetery and inscribe the final death date out in the cemetery where weather factors can't be controlled. Once your loved ones monument reaches our shop the monument is cleaned. We remove any hard water, rust stains, and debris from the monument. Next step is matching the font. We have several ways to match existing fonts. Artificial intelligence is a feature that we use at Wyoming Headstones. A picture is taken of the existing font and imported into our computer system. Our system will go through hundreds of fonts to find the right one. Once the font has been found the size of the font is measured along with all the spacing in-between the characters. After taking several measurements we are ready to cut the stencil. The stencil is applied to the monument, we use a laser to double check that the dates are straight with existing dates. We are ready to move to the next step. Engrave the final death date. We use sand to engrave our death dates it provides the best results. Once the final death date is engraved, your monument death date is painted with monument paint. After the paint has dried the stencil is removed and any glue left behind is cleaned and removed. Your monument will be cleaned once again with soap and water and be allowed to air dry. Once the drying is completed your whole will be repainted. Refer to the after picture. All of our monuments that we received for death dating engraving will look like the after photo. Our staff will return the monument to the cemetery painted, cleaned and looking beautiful for the family!
