From Manger to Mystery: A Cosmic Christmas Reflection

The President of the United States has fulfilled his promise to exterminate the group of terrorists committing genocide against Christians in Nigeria. Yet, some misguided people in Nigeria are still trying to convince themselves that there’s no genocide committed against the Christians. Very sad.

Tomorrow, I will be preaching on Psalm 51, a profound penitential psalm that vividly portrays David not only as a repentant sinner, but also as a striking foil to Israel’s first monarch, King Saul. I listened to the former first lady berate men and people who would dare vote for Trump. This is a woman, who in her own words despised America until her husband, Obama, became elected to the presidency. What a joke! I find it fascinating and rich that the only policy that the VP and her team tout is that of killing babies in the name of women’s autonomy to make healthcare decisions. What is wrong about this policy is that the aborted babies of who some are females are denied the same rights to make decisions because they didn’t live to speak for themselves. To hear a campaign tout abortion as a policy that would win election is not only appalling, but tells you how far the democrat party, once a humane and caring party has fallen off the deep end.

The question by the press and some on the right on whether the President’s troubled son should have attended the dinner at the White House is really majoring on the minor. Of course, his son is welcome to attend a party hosted by his dad. I have three children, and if I am in a position of power and happen to host a party, my boys are welcome to attend the party, if they choose to regardless of any legal woe they may have....

As we begin this long weekend, I ask everyone to take a moment to reflect. Having another day off from work is always a great opportunity for us to rest, rejuvenate, and catch up with family and friends. However, many miss the reason for the holiday.
