Invitation: Spring Family Night 2026

The Religious Support Office warmly invites you and your family to be part of Spring Family Night 2026—a welcoming midweek gathering where a meal is provided, families grow together through faith learning, and our community is strengthened through fellowship.

Dates: March 25 – May 25
(8 Wednesdays, 5:30–7:15 PM at the RE Center; no meeting on April 1 for Easter Break)

Classes are available for all ages, with limited watch care for children 6 months to 4 years old.
Pre-registration is required by March 8.

As the multi-state Walk for Peace moves northbound on Richmond Hwy, Sunday morning, Feb. 8, 2026,
access to Fort Belvoir will be limited to Leiber Gate from SOUTHBOUND Richmond Hwy only.

Tulley gate should be accessible from 8 to 10 a.m. while the march stops at the Buddhist Temple on Backlick Rd and Richmond Hwy. Richmond Hwy northbound closes at Tulley again from noon until the walk moves north on Hwy 1 into Alexandria.

🚦 Chapel Services Traffic Advisory – Buddhist Peace Walk (Sunday, Feb 8, 2026) may affect entry to Fort Belvoir at Protestant Worship Service times.

Please be advised of traffic impacts due to a Buddhist Peace Walk:

🕗 8:00 AM: Monks enter Fairfax County
🚧 Route 1 Closure: Northbound Richmond Highway (Route 1) will be fully closed at Furnace Road in Lorton as monks use the entire roadway
👣 Monks will walk to the Buddhist Temple on Backlick Road for a parade and peace ceremony
🕐 1:00–1:30 PM: Depart Buddhist Temple, turn left onto Route 1, continue north, then right onto Sherwood Hall Lane

Those entering Fort Belvoir in the morning may need to plan alternate routes and expect delays.

Guys, don’t forget! We’re kicking off a Men’s Bible Study on February 5 at 6:00 PM, and we’d love for you to be there. We’ll be diving into the book of James using Be Mature by Warren W. Wiersbe—and yes, dinner will be provided!

James is practical, challenging, and straight to the point. It pushes us to live out our faith, not just talk about it. We’ll tackle real-life topics like handling temptation, controlling the tongue, growing in prayer, and putting God’s Word into action—all in a relaxed, come-as-you-are setting.

✝️ We can’t wait to worship our Savior with YOU tomorrow at ChapelNext! Chaplain Brent Wagner will be sharing the message this first Sunday of February!

🍇 It’s Communion Sunday! After the sermon, we’ll partake in the Lord’s Supper together.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Please note: There will not be Children’s Church this week so families can worship and participate in Communion together. Children’s Church will resume on February 8th.

👧🏽 For our little ones: Clipboards, sermon coloring sheets, and crayons are available at the Welcome Table to help children stay engaged during the service.

👶🏻 Watchcare is available for babies and toddlers! If you’re unsure where to go, just ask a volunteer or chaplain — we’ll be happy to help you find your way. Please know that all children are ALWAYS welcome in our sanctuary during worship and the sermon!

Today’s Sermon: Faith, Endurance, and God’s Sustaining Presence - January 25, 2026

We are honored to welcome our guest chaplain, Andi Ingram, with the United States Navy Reserves! We are thrilled that she took the time to record our sermon this morning since we are all unable to worship together in person today! Chaplain Ingram is currently on duty in the District of Columbia. CH Ingram and her husband of 26 years live in San Antonio, Texas. When she's not on duty with the USNR, she works with a nonprofit organization that serves Veterans. We are grateful for her service and for sharing the message today! 🇺🇸✝️⚓️

As we continue our series in Genesis, today’s message invites us to reflect on the beauty of God’s creation 🌿 and consider what nature can teach us about faith, endurance, and God’s sustaining presence in our lives.

We pray this sermon encourages your heart and draws your attention to the Creator through the wonders He has made. Enjoy the message today!
