Today our hearts are full as we reflect on a wonderful celebration honoring Mary and her graduation journey.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at West Fort Ann United Methodist Church. Your presence, encouragement, prayers, laughter, and love helped make this day truly special. It was a beautiful reminder that no one reaches life’s milestones alone.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, and today we saw that village in action. Family, friends, church members, teachers, mentors, and neighbors have all played a part in helping shape the remarkable young woman Mary has become.

Most importantly, we were reminded of the Spirit of God that has guided her path, strengthened her through challenges, and surrounded her with people who care deeply for her. As Mary begins this next chapter, she does so supported by a loving family, an encouraging church family, and a community that believes in her.

Thank you for celebrating with us and for being part of the village. May God continue to bless Mary and all of our graduates as they follow the path He has prepared for them.

What a season. What a team. What a community.

Congratulations to the Fort Ann Lady Cardinals on capturing the Regional Championship and earning a place in the New York State Final Four! 🥎

This accomplishment is about more than wins and trophies. It reflects countless hours of practice, perseverance through challenges, encouragement from coaches, support from families, and the pride of an entire community standing behind these young women.

As they continue their journey, we celebrate not only their athletic talent but also the character, teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship they have displayed along the way.

The road to great things is rarely traveled alone, and these Lady Cardinals have shown what can happen when a community comes together in support of one another.

Please join us in congratulating the team and keeping them in your thoughts and prayers as they head to the State Final Four. We are incredibly proud of you and will be cheering you on every step of the way!

Go Cardinals! Bring that Cardinal spirit with you and enjoy every moment of this incredible journey.

It Takes a Village… and Sometimes a Fellowship Hall Full of Cookies!

This Sunday, June 7, I’ll once again have the privilege of leading worship at West Fort Ann United Methodist Church, and we’ll be reflecting on a simple but powerful truth: none of us gets through life alone.

As we celebrate our graduating senior, Mary, we’ll take a look at the people, prayers, encouragement, lessons, and occasional gentle nudges that help shape us into who we become. Because while diplomas may have one name printed on them, every graduate’s story includes a whole village of family, friends, teachers, mentors, coaches, and faith communities.

We’ll laugh a little, reflect a little, and give thanks for the many people God places in our lives along the journey.

And because no celebration is complete without food and fellowship, we’ll gather after worship for a special celebration honoring Mary and this exciting milestone.

Whether you’ve been part of Mary’s village, someone else’s village, or you’re simply looking for a welcoming place to worship this Sunday, we’d love to have you join us.

Come celebrate, be encouraged, and remember: it truly takes a village… and thankfully God keeps building them.

Congratulations, Lady Cardinals!

Third time’s the charm!

From all of us at West Fort Ann United Methodist Church, congratulations to the Lady Cardinals on their hard-fought Section 2 Class D Championship victory over Argyle. Champions are not made by never facing challenges—they are made by refusing to give up when those challenges come. Your determination, teamwork, and perseverance have inspired our entire community.

As you prepare for your next game, know that all of Fort Ann is cheering you on. May you continue to play with the same heart, grit, and unity that brought you this far.

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9

Today, the trophy belongs to the Lady Cardinals. Tomorrow, the journey continues. Wishing you God’s blessings, safe travels, and the very best of luck in the next round.

Go Lady Cardinals! The whole village is behind you.

To everyone who came out and supported the West Fort Ann United Methodist Church Chicken BBQ today—thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We know there were plenty of ways to spend a beautiful Saturday, and we are grateful that you chose to spend part of it with us. Whether you came for the chicken, the fellowship, the homemade desserts, or all of the above, your support means more than you know.

A special thank you to those who successfully navigated the annual Americade obstacle course. Between motorcycles, traffic, detours, and the occasional GPS suggestion that made absolutely no sense, getting here may have felt like an adventure worthy of its own trophy. We appreciate every mile you traveled.

Events like this are about more than a meal. They remind us that community is built one conversation, one smile, and one shared table at a time. We are blessed by the friendships, generosity, and encouragement of so many wonderful people.

As summer begins, we pray that your days are filled with sunshine, laughter, safe travels, and plenty of reasons to gather with family and friends. Enjoy every moment, make some memories, and don’t forget us while you’re out having fun.

Thank you again for your support. Have a safe and exciting summer, and we’ll look forward to seeing you back in September.

With gratitude and blessings,

West Fort Ann United Methodist Church

P.S. If you missed the BBQ this year, don’t worry. The chicken may be gone, but the fellowship is always on the menu.
