Lighthouse of Prayer

Lighthouse of Prayer Non-denominational, Bible believing church. We believe the Bible is God's Word given to men by inspiration of the Holy Ghost and that it is Truth.

We welcome everyone, race, denomination, sinner, to come and worship with us. We believe God is no respector of persons, and neither should we be. But we do preach that sin is sin, God will forgive because he loves the person.

As the preacher talked about Samson yesterday and how his strength came back one more time and he was able to pull the building down and kill more at his death then he had in his lifetime the Lord spoke to me. The Bible says, Samson's hair began to grow. If we will remember that was one of his dedications that he was not to cut his hair. But he messed around with Delilah until he was so weak he had to tell her where his strength lay. When he did he arose and shook himself and the strength was no longer there. God spoke to my heart how that when his hair began to grow that was his dedication growing.

God said if we would let our dedications grow Again we would see Greater Works done. Our dedication has not been what it should be before God. We have allowed them to be Slack before God. But if we'll begin growing our dedications again we will see God let us pull down the enemy one more time and Destroy more of his work than we ever have before.

Wouldn't you like to see a greater dedication so that you would have a greater strength to fight the enemy with? I know I would. I'm determined to do that. I want to let my dedications grow so that I will be what God wants me to be and not be a slave to the enemy.

The price of making a choice can sometimes be great, according to the choice that you make. Jonah made a choice that was not a good one. He was a prophet, a man of God. God told him to do something he didn't want to do and so he made a choice. Instead of going to Nineveh he decided to go down to Joppa and then down to Tarshus When we decide to go down after God has spoken to us then we can expect our consequences to be bad. Instead of going down we need to go up in obedience. When he got to Joppa and boarded the boat God had great consequences waiting on him. As the boat sailed a great storm Came Upon them and another Choice had to be made. Was he going to stay on the boat and allow them all to drown or was he going to be thrown over and take his own consequences. He told them to throw him over and eventually they did and the storm ceased and they were safe, Jonah was not safe however. A great fish had been prepared by God to swallow him as he was thrown into the water. Sometimes the trials we go through are of our own making. The choices we make can bring the trials our way and we have to make another decision. We have to decide whether we are going to obey God or continue to fight in the trial that we're in. Jonah Made A wise choice this time. He cried out from the belly of the great fish and prayed that God would help him and that he would obey God. When he was thrown back upon the shore he then got up and ran to Nineveh. We need to do God's will. We don't need to make the wrong choices in our life. We need to listen carefully and when God speaks we need to say yes Lord.

When it's time to make our choice let's make a good one. Let's say yes the first time and we won't have to go through as much. Our trials won't be as hard, our situation won't seem as bad, because God will always have us in his hand.

In Matthew 4:1 the Bible says that Jesus was led up of the spirit Into the Wilderness to be tempted of the devil. We are led Into the Wilderness or into the desert for a purpose. We are where we're at right now for a reason. God knows right where we're at so we shouldn't question the whys, we should just be strong and stay obedient through the Wilderness experience and we will come out with victory.

We may not know why we're walking through the dry place or through the hard place that we are in. But we don't have to know the why. We just need to trust God and lean on the Spirit and know that he will bring us through. Sometimes we're like a little child we ask too many questions. Have you ever had a child that asked why, why all the time? They began to aggravate you after a while and you wanted them to just accept your answer and stay silent for a while. Sometimes I believe God gets tired of our questions and are asking why Lord is this happening, or why am I in this place and he wants us just to accept that he is with us and he is going to lead us through and we need to just be silent for a while.

I want to accept the fact that Jesus has led me to wherever I am today. I want to accept the fact that he knows I am here and he knows what he's doing in me. I want to accept what he's doing in me and just keep praying and standing fast in his word.

May God bless you today as you stand fast in his word and Obey him everyday in every way. You will soon come out of the trial or out of the Wilderness shouting with victory. Stand faithful.

What a wonderful day it is to serve the Lord. I'm glad of my salvation, aren't you? We should be so proud to serve the only one that gives us a living savior named Jesus. I want to encourage you to stand strong in the word of God. Don't let the enemy pull you down and take your strength away from you. Samson had strength as long as he kept his vow to God. But he kept going back to Delilah's house. He kept going back and going back until one day she wore him down and he told her where his strength lay. When he woke up that time he shook himself and there was no power there. People go back to the devil's house and to the things of the devil over and over again until they really need God and then they Shake themselves and God doesn't move because they have moved too far away from him.

As Christians today, let's stay strong and not let the enemy take our strength. Don't let him know where your strength lies. Don't let him know that he can take your strength by causing you not to pray. Pray daily. Keep your mind fixed on God. Stay strong in the hour we're living in. God will move for you and whatever situation you're in if you'll stay strong. God bless you.
