The River Join us Sundays at 9am or 11am for great music, creative communication, time to hang out with amazing people, and a chance to learn about an awesome God!

Calling God 'Father' strips away pretense, letting us be ourselves. Yet, silence can be difficult because we project past hurts from earthly fathers onto our heavenly one. If earthly fathers abandoned or abused us, we might expect the same from God. But that's not who our heavenly Father is.

The parable of the one talent reminds us not to hide the gifts God has given us. Are you burying your blessings instead of using them? Let's not do that.

The master settled accounts with his servants. 'What did you do with what I gave you?' Some brought more, some brought less. One servant, who invested wisely, heard the powerful words: 'Well done.' It's about action, not just intention.

Seriously, do we realize how blessed we are? If you slept in a bed last night or had a hot shower this morning, you are incredibly blessed. We live in the greatest country, and many of us spend more in a day than some earn in a lifetime. Never forget how fortunate we are.
