Update: The gas leak at Forrest City Junior High School and the Sixth Grade Academy has been cleared by emergency personnel. Classes will resume as scheduled tomorrow morning.

Thank you to our local first responders for promptly addressing today's incident.

Forrest City Junior High School and the Sixth Grade Academy had to be evacuated to the Dwight Lofton Mustang Arena for 7th period and the end of the school day after a gas leak was reported inside of the building. All students and staff members are safe. The leak has been capped off and the campus is currently closed while local emergency personnel work to vent the building.

Adjustments have been made to the bus schedule and all students will be dismissed from the Arena parking lot this afternoon. Parents please be patient during pick-up and be aware of both bus and vehicle traffic in the parking lot.
