What does America truly need in this moment? Not just better policies or stronger economies — it needs God's people to rise up, stand firm, and be the answer they are praying for.

From the streets of Mardi Gras to the halls of history, God has always worked through ordinary people who said yes. As 2 Chronicles 7:14 reminds us, when God's people humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from wickedness, He promises to hear, forgive, and heal their land. That promise is alive today.

You are not a bystander. You are the miracle your community needs. Whether you pray for a stranger, share your story, or simply say "Lord, use me" — God is looking for someone willing to stand in the gap.

Do not let this moment pass. Arise, shine, and let His glory rise upon you (Isaiah 60:1-3).

Joy is not just a feeling -- it is a practice. Yesterday, Pastor Harry reminded us that a joy-filled life requires daily habits: practicing thankfulness (1 Thessalonians 5:18), thinking on the good things (Philippians 4:8), drawing strength from the Lord (Nehemiah 8:10), and surrounding yourself with joyful people.

The joy of the Lord is your strength. And if the enemy can steal your joy, he can steal your strength. Do not let that happen.

Here is the truth: if Jesus lives inside of you, joy is already there. You just have to pull it out and put it into practice. Stir it up. Make up your mind before the day begins that you are going to walk in joy -- no matter what comes your way.

Do not quit. Come worship with us and leave with more joy than you arrived with.

Yesterday we continued our Fruit of the Spirit series and we talked about Joy. Joy is not the same as happiness. Happiness depends on what happens to you. Joy is something deeper -- a choice you make regardless of your circumstances. And if you have Jesus, that joy (Holy Spirit) is already inside you. It just needs to be stirred up like the illustration we had yesterday with turning milk into chocolate milk.

Hebrews 12:2 reminds us that Jesus endured the cross because of the joy set before him -- not because things were going well, but because he could see beyond the moment. That same joy is available to you right now, no matter what you are walking through.

Nehemiah 8:10 tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Not our own strength -- his. When life gets hard, that is what carries you through.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Whatever you are facing, it is not your final destination. There is more on the other side.

We are kicking off a brand new series on the Fruit of the Spirit, and we are starting where it all begins -- love. Not love as a feeling you fall in and out of, but love as a choice, a fruit that grows from the inside out.

The book of Galatians reminds us that when we are led by the Spirit, we do not need a list of rules to tell us how to live. The Spirit on the inside produces what no law ever could.

Here is the truth that changes everything: God did not wait for you to get it together before He loved you. Romans 5:8 tells us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The more you understand that, the more love starts pouring out of your own life.

Understand His love. Receive His love. Then choose to love others. That is the fruit.
