As we continue to celebrate 60 years of ministry, we want to thank our Founding Pastors Harry and Laverne Sewell for answering the call to start a church in September of 1966. Come celebrate 60 yrs of ministry on Sunday 9/27 in our 10:30am service in Forney and again that evening as we go back to where it all began at Bruton Rd at 6:00pm for a time of fellowship and food. Also, hear some stories from people that were there in the early years! It’s going to be a great day of celebration.

As we continue to celebrate 60 years of ministry, we are so thankful for Pastor Douglas and Joanna Herrell. In 2023 we were able to launch a Mesquite campus at the same location we were previously located on Windbell Circle. Our Mesquite Campus is led by Pastor Douglas and Joanna Herrell! They currently have service at 9:00am every Sunday and a small group on the 3rd Wednesday of the Month!

The peace of God is not found in absence -- it is found in His presence. We cannot escape our way into peace. Vacations end, distractions fade, and the situation is still there. But the peace described in Philippians 4:6-7 -- the kind that transcends all understanding -- guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus no matter what surrounds you.

God is the source. He is the God of peace, the Prince of peace, and the Lord of peace. That means peace is available to you at all times, in every situation, through prayer, petition, and thanksgiving.

The circumstances may not change. But when you are plugged into the source, you are charged with something the world cannot give -- and therefore cannot take away.

If you missed this message, you can always go to our website and watch it or come join us this coming Sunday. You just might leave with a peace you cannot explain.

This Sunday September 27th we will celebrate our 60th anniversary. We wouldn't be where we are without all of our ministries at the church. Today let's take a look at our Deaf Ministry. In April of 1994 FC launched our Deaf Ministry. It was started by Pastor Debbie Sewell and Connie Miler and over the years this ministry has been a blessing to FC and other organizations as well. They have been all over the metroplex sharing the gospel in Sign Language and changing lives! The ministry is now being lead by Connie Miller and Tammy Morgan. They interpret every Sunday service at our Forney location. They will be signing this Sunday in Forney at 10:30am in our 60th anniversary celebration service. Thank you Pastor Connie and Tammy for continuing to lead this ministry!
