You can’t resolve conflict until pride gets out of the room. Most fighting isn’t about the issue - it’s about me, me, me. A humble spirit is not weakness; it’s wisdom.

Proverbs 16:19 (KJV)
Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Reflection Question: What relationship needs humility from me first?
Call to action: Send one humble message tonight: “I’m sorry. I was proud.”

You can clean up your words and still have filth running laps in your mind. You can “not say it,” and still have it living in there. Don’t settle for behavior modification - ask God for inward truth.

Psalm 51:6 (KJV)
“Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.”

Reflection Question:
Where have I been more focused on appearance than inward truth?

Call to action: Get alone with God and tell Him the truth about what’s really going on inside.

Pride is not “confidence.” Pride is that stubborn thing in us that says, “You don’t tell me no… I’ll do it even if it breaks my body to pieces.” And God warned us - pride has a destination.

Proverbs 16:18 (KJV)
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Questions:
1) Where have I been pushing, pushing, pushing - without asking God?
2) What’s one area where I need to say, “I was wrong”?

Prayer/Action: Lord, I don’t want the fall - give me the humility first.

Real change doesn’t begin with the outside action - it begins in the heart. And the “heart” in the Bible isn’t Disney pitter-patter; it’s your thinking, your reasoning, your decision-making. So if you don’t guard it, it’ll steer you.

Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

Questions:
1) What “issues” in my life keep showing up because of what I’ve been thinking?
2) What’s one thought I need to stop letting sit at my table?

Prayer/Action: Lord, help me guard my heart like my life depends on it - because it does.

That line is still true at night: “depart from evil.” Pride says, “I can stay close to it and be fine.” God says, “Get on the highway and leave.”

Proverbs 16:17 (KJV)
The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.

Reflection Question: Where did I “linger” today instead of leaving?
Call to action: Text someone you trust: “Pray for me to depart from evil in ____.”

Modern Christianity wants God to be acceptable to them. But Bible Christianity says we get acceptable to God. And the good news is: God can change what’s unacceptable - starting on the inside.

Romans 12:2 (KJV)
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Reflection Question:
What’s one “world-label” I’ve accepted that God wants to transform?

Call to action: Write down one repeating thought you’ve been living from - and bring it to God tonight.
