A message appeared on Mary’s screen: “It’s hard.” As a volunteer digital responder with the International Mission Board (IMB), Mary knew it was a cry for help. She prayerfully replied with a message of hope.

Sara, the woman behind the message, lived in Johannesburg, South Africa. She had escaped an abusive home and marriage and was now living in a shack. After seeing a digital engagement ad, she reached out.

Mary connected Sara with IMB Missionaries Patti and Doug Irvin. Patti called Sara immediately and learned she was starving and desperate for connection. The Irvins visited her, brought groceries, and introduced her to a local church. Her life was transformed.

Sara’s story began with a digital ad launched during the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games. More than 8 million people saw the ads, nearly 7,000 responded, and over 500 Gospel conversations took place. Thirty-one people came to faith in Christ.

This initiative shows how prayer, giving, and digital engagement can fulfill the Great Commission. Pray for more responders, missionaries, and partners to reach people like Sara with the hope of the Gospel.

Tropical Storm Isaias has formed in the Gulf and is strengthening fast — forecasters expect it to become the first hurricane of this historically quiet season, with landfall projected late Friday into Saturday somewhere between Biloxi, Mississippi and Panama City, Florida as a Category 2 storm.

Heavy rain, dangerous storm surge, and damaging winds are expected across the northern Gulf Coast. Families along the coast are preparing right now.

Would you pray with us?
🙏 For safety for every family in Isaias's path
🙏 For wisdom for local officials making evacuation decisions
🙏 For those who can't easily evacuate — the elderly, the medically fragile, those without transportation
🙏 For SBC Disaster Relief teams and local churches preparing to respond

Ramil and Ana Marie Necessito planted Filipino-Canadian Baptist Church Saskatoon to reach their community with the Gospel. Ramil preaches every Sunday, teaches Sunday School, leads Bible studies, disciples men, and teaches new believers. He and Ana Marie also launched ministries for evangelism, children, youth, men, and women.

To support his family, Ramil works as a Continuing Care Assistant, but his passion is sharing the Gospel wherever he goes.

“I always share the love and story of salvation when I have an opportunity to my coworkers, my clients, and to random people!” Ramil said. “I really love to share the wonderful story about Jesus and how to get saved by grace through faith!”

Ramil consistently prays for God to send the right people to lead new ministries. When the church began its evangelism ministry, he first trained members. Eventually, God raised up a young adult to lead the effort.

“God answered our prayer,” Ramil said. “He touched one of our young adults to lead the ministry. Now he is the one organizing our soul-winning event.”

Thank you for supporting churches like Filipino-Canadian Baptist Church Saskatoon. Pray the Lord of the Harvest will send more laborers to His vineyard, especially in Saskatoon.

What if your giving is part of the story every time a missionary walks through a door, crosses a street, enters a neighborhood, or shares the gospel with someone who has never heard it?

Behind every missionary who says “yes” is a Sending Church.
Behind that sending church is a family of believers who pray, sacrifice, and give.

Your generosity helps create the pathway for the gospel to move—from your church to a missionary, from a missionary to a community, and from a community to people who need the hope of Jesus.

You may never know every name.
You may never see every conversation.
You may never stand in every place where your gift goes.

But you are part of the sending.

And one day, every story points back to the same place:

Jesus.

This is more than a gift.
This is participation in the mission.

The missionary goes.
The church sends.
The giver makes sending possible.
And Jesus gets the glory. 💙

Behind every healthy church, there is often a faithful, hardworking pastor’s wife pouring her heart into her family, her congregation, and her community.
