Diapers needed at the Blue Ridge Pregnancy Center! Can you help?

🍼 We’re running low on diapers!

One of the simplest ways you can make a difference for a growing family is by helping provide something every baby needs: diapers.👶

Right now, our Life Center is especially in need of sizes 2, 3 & 4.

If you’d like to help us keep our shelves stocked, you can purchase diapers from our Amazon Wishlist (link in bio and below) or drop off a donation at the Life Center.

Every pack helps us put practical resources into the hands of families who need them. đź’™

Thank you!!

Missionaries Nawid and Freshta Aziz need our prayers as they serve refugees in western Europe through the International Mission Board.

Anahita and her family fled their homeland in Central Asia, enduring a four-year journey marked by hardship—including the loss of a child. Struggling with grief and depression, Anahita found comfort through a women’s ministry led by Freshta.

Anahita began attending church and learning about Jesus. Her husband joined her and recently committed his life to Christ. Pray that Anahita will follow.

Nawid and Freshta minister to both non-believing and Christian refugees, offering discipleship and teaching foundational theology. Language barriers make it difficult for refugees to attend local churches, but the Aziz family speak their native Central Asian language and are welcomed as family.

This summer, they are hosting camps to share the Gospel and offer hope to those who have experienced trauma and loss. As Nawid and Freshta serve with compassion, pray for wisdom and protection. Pray for Anahita’s husband to grow in faith, for Anahita to receive Christ, and for many refugees to find healing and new life through the Gospel.

Right now, families in Nepal are waiting for answers.

A devastating flash flood swept through communities along Nepal’s border with Tibet today, destroying homes, roads and other infrastructure. Dozens of fatalities have been reported, and hundreds remain missing as search and rescue efforts continue.

Please pray:
🙏 For families grieving the loss of loved ones
🙏 For those still waiting and searching for family members
🙏 For rescue workers working through dangerous conditions
🙏 For those who have lost homes, livelihoods and everything they own
🙏 For churches and believers in Nepal to have opportunities to serve, bring comfort and share the hope of Jesus

Pray for Nepal today. 🇳🇵❤️

We’ll continue to share updates as more information becomes available. IMB

Osvaldo and Vanessa Lerma serve with Send Relief at the Ministry Center in Laredo, Texas, just a few miles from the United States and Mexico border. There, they lead volunteers in hands-on ministry to refugees legally seeking asylum in America.

“We minister alongside churches who have been called to share Christ with hurting people by introducing them to refugees,” Vanessa said. “We’re always amazed at what refugees go through to come here.”

The Lermas connect mission teams with local churches and a nearby respite center. Together, they provide meals, hygiene kits, and a safe place to rest and shower. Most importantly, they share the hope of Jesus with those in need.

For volunteers, it’s a front-row seat to Gospel-centered compassion. The Lermas help churches see how God might be calling them to start similar ministries in their own communities.

Through our prayers and giving, we help missionaries like Osvaldo and Vanessa serve vulnerable people and equip others to do the same. Pray this week that mission teams will take what they learn in Laredo and begin compassion ministries in their own communities.

Pray for Carlton and Cornelia Walker, International Mission Board missionaries who have faithfully served in Japan for over 40 years.

Cornelia’s journey began in elementary school when her Girls’ Auxiliary group assigned her to learn about Japan. She chose it because the flag was easy to draw, but God used that simple choice to spark a lifelong calling.

After meeting Carlton, the couple felt led to serve overseas. When they heard of a need for missionaries in Japan, they said, “What about us? We can go.” That willingness launched decades of ministry in a country often resistant to the Gospel.

The Walkers arrived in Japan in 1982. After language study in Tokyo, they moved to Hokkaido, where they saw people come to faith, planted a church, and trained young pastors. Later, they returned to Tokyo, and eventually back to Hokkaido to mentor new missionaries.

Cornelia is excited to see new families and singles answering God’s call to Japan. The Walkers remain confident that God is still at work and give Him all the glory.

As Carlton and Cornelia continue encouraging others and celebrating God’s faithfulness in Japan, let’s pray for them.
