Griffin Global Ministries (GGM) was created in 2007 by the Dr. Terrie Elizabeth Griffin, an ordained minister, former pastor of an urban, multicultural ministry, and associate professor of preventive health and practical theology. She conceived Griffin Global Ministries out of a deep concern for marginalized populations living in poor rural areas and urban communities in the U.S., and villages and
townships in the Republic of Haiti and South Africa. The global HIV and AIDS pandemic, substandard living conditions, sexual slavery/human trafficking, and limited education and sustainable employment are everyday life issues facing the poor. Moved by her experiences, and seeing minimal humanitarian aid for countries such as Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere that lacks a system of public education and public health, Dr. Griffin gathered a small group of dedicated volunteers and set out on a mission to bring help, healing and hope to a hurting world. The mission is achieved through education and training, advocacy and support services, resource distribution to communities in crisis, and short-term Christian missions. OUR VISION

Establish Collaborative Global Partnerships: Identify organizations, institutions and individuals where mutual interests exists to transform lives with the love of God and through the giving of gifts… time, talents and resources. Mobilize Volunteers: Create opportunities for persons with skills, specific talents, and a heart for missions to receive volunteer training that equips them for service to others in both local and international venues. Offer Ministry to Women and Children – Support transitional housing for homeless women and their children; and, partner with organizations and health and human service agencies in providing support services for women who are victimized by being exploited into prostitution, and who suffer from mental abuse, and physical and sexual assault. Confidential support services may include counseling, anger management, and referrals to mental health facilities. Promote Advocacy: Provide leadership and guidance to faith communities and organizations in the planning, development and ex*****on of an action agenda that addresses social concerns. The action agenda creates public awareness and coalitions of care, urges governmental action, supports public policy development, and recommends the provision of resources. Develop Capacity: Consult with pastors, mission partners, and organizational leaders to assess needs and identify problems, develop strategies, and help resource the solutions. Provide spiritual support and technical assistance to build and enhance the capacity of churches and organizations to effectively address unmet needs within their communities. Sponsor Missions: Invite individuals and groups to travel to the Republic of Haiti to participate in short-term (one week) medical, labor and educational missions. OUR LEADERSHIP
