* * SERVICE TIME CHANGE FOR MAY 17 & 24 * *

While our Rector is away on vacation we'll be shifting to a single service of Morning Prayer II on Sunday, May 17 and Sunday, May 24 at 9:30. The services will continue to be live streamed at the new time. Our regular schedule of services of Holy Eucharist I (8:30) and Holy Eucharist II (10:30) will resume on Sunday, May 31.

Yesterday’s Mother's Day service was even more special as we celebrated the baptism of Lane Tankersley. To add to the joy we welcomed many of her family and friends who enthusiastically filled the pews and gathered around the font as she took this major step in her journey of faith. And in answer to the question of whether we will do all in our power to support her in her new life in Christ: Yes, we will!

On this Mother’s Day, we give thanks to God for the divine gift of motherhood in all its diverse forms. Let us pray for all the mothers among us today; for our own mothers, those living and those who have passed away; for the mothers who loved us and for those who fell short of loving us fully; for all who hope to be mothers some day and for those whose hope to have children has been frustrated; for all mothers who have lost children; for all those who have been our substitute mothers and we who have done so for those in need; for the earth that bore us and provides our sustenance. We pray this all in the name of God. Amen.
