Dear Friends!

It is with both sorrow and gratitude to God that I need to share with you that the reading room will be closing at the end of October. Drastically rising rent makes it impossible for us to continue this work.

We have LOVED our time doing this and believe it was really an incredible and innovative venture in evangelism, initiated and filled by God.

If you live nearby and have been meaning to come in, please do so in the next six weeks! And if you want to reach out to me to just talk about this incredible ministry, I would be most happy to do that.

May every single person who came through our doors be richly, deeply blessed.

God grant all of you many years!

To all of you wondering why there are never any updates, I've only just started using FaceBook. I won't promise many, but I would like to say that we are open regular hours again!

Wednesday 10am - 5pm
Saturday 7pm for Vespers

Please stop in to see me, send your friends who are interested in Orthodoxy or just in spiritual things, or come join us for virtual-in-person church! (We are setting up a screen and streaming services from St John in Beaverton. So we have the beauty and sound of a chanter and the priest and deacon, combined with real people there to worship together!)

Please join us this Saturday, 2/1/20 at 5pm for the annual blessing of the Ancient Church Reading Room followed by Vespers. Fr. Michael of Holy Apostles Orthodox Church in Vancouver, WA will be celebrating the services here in Forest Grove. See you there!

We will be hosting a special speaker tomorrow evening at 7pm at the Ancient Church in Forest Grove. His name is Fr Russell, from Montana, and he will be speaking about the history and beauty of the early Christian Church.

All are invited! And we very much hope we will be able to draw at least a small crowd to make his travel and effort worthwhile. Please tell your friends and family about it!! Anyone, from any walk of life--Christian, spiritual, non-religious, searching, doubting--is most welcome!!!

It is free and refreshments will be provided!
