Welcome and good evening! Thank you for tuning in to our Sunday Evening 6pm worship service. Since the time of the Apostles, the Church has met on Sunday, the First day of the new week (so that means the weekend ended on Saturday) as testified in Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2 and Revelation 1:10. So, the tradition thus set forth, is carried on today by us and Bible believing Christians around the world.

Welcome and good morning! Thank you for tuning in to our 10am Sunday School. Since 1751 at St. Mary's Church in Nottingham, England, Sunday School has been a tradition of Bible Believing Churches. By the 1790s, the practice arrived in America due to the efforts of Samuel Slater in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. In 1813, Pastor Gottlieb Schober, of the Hopewell Lutheran Church (now Hopewell Moravian Church) located near Salem, NC started the first Sunday School in the Tar Heel State. Thus, at Danieltown Baptist Church, we continue this time honoured tradtion each Sunday.
This is a time of teaching, instruction and learning. We are glad you have joined in with us this morning!

Welcome and good evening! Thank you for tuning in to our Wednesday evening 7pm worship service and prayer meeting. Wednesday night prayer services stretch back to the War Between the States, when Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee and "Stonewall" Jackson would hold prayer meetings on Wednesdays with their staff officers. After the war, in the 1880s and 1890s, ex-Confederates turned pastors sought to emulate this virtue and began holding prayer services throughout the South, so that by the early twentieth century, the practice had caught on throughout various denominations and the tradition continues today.
