Mount Vernon Baptist Church is the result of the love and endurance of thousands of believers over the past several generations. We are an old established church with a distinguished history. What began as a meeting place under a "Brush Arbor" in 1832 and constituted on February 17, 1844 has grown to become a ministry that not only serves the Mount Vernon Community, but reaches to the far ends of

the earth. We are a people of several social, economic, educational and geographical backgrounds. Come with us as we step forward as one, as we look to the future with an assurance that the Lord will continue to bless our church spiritually and prosperously.

This month we will hear from some of the team at Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth & Families about how we can partner with such a needed ministry that serves the vulnerable in our community. May is Foster Care Awareness Month so let’s take this opportunity to learn more about how foster care is impacting those around us! Dinner starts at 6pm and the speaker starts at 7pm. It’s that time again! Please join us tomorrow night for our monthly time of fellowship at Meal + Missions! Come enjoy a potluck dinner as we hear how we can partner with and support the ministry at Yokefellow. Dinner starts at 6pm, our speaker starts at 7pm!

There WILL be choir practice tomorrow night as we gear up for our Easter cantata. Regular choir practice starts at 6pm and ladies who will be singing for Baptist Women’s Sunday please plan to be there at 6:30pm.

📣 Tomorrow is the LAST DAY to sign up to go with us to Winter Jam 📣

If you’re in middle school and want to be picked up on the church bus, parents please be sure to send a note with your student allowing Pastor Chris to sign them out. Otherwise, we will be leaving the church around 2:15pm. We look forward to a night of worship and fellowship with our student ministry! 🎉🙌
