Greetings to All! It is with great pleasure that My husband and I, along with my church congregation,
True Vine Church of God take this time to welcome you to the 5th Annual Wellness Weekend. As the
host church, we would like to thank and give honor to Dr. Reverend Rosa B. Sutton, Pastor of St. Luke
Fire Baptized Holiness Church for allowing God to work through her to lead, guide and direct this
Wellness event. Through much prayer and supplication, we recognize that Rutherford County and
surrounding areas in our small rural community are in need of Mental Wellness. Coming from the
school system as an educator, and as a Pastor, I have seen youth, adults, family units and church
members that are crying out for healing, deliverance and salvation, as they are experiencing mental,
physical, and emotional breakdown. In John 5:6, When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been
now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? Many people all over
Rutherford County are and have been in a Traumatic Mental Health state for too long. God want His
people to be WHOLE!
In this season that we are living in, we have seen the enemies traumatic attacks that have caused people
to turn toward alcohol, and substance abuse because of the battleground of the mind.
Our Theme: The Battlefield of the Mind: What’s on your Mind - 1 Peter 5:7 - Jesus said, “Casting all
your cares upon him; for he careth for you. We must understand and recognize that there is nothing too
hard for our God! He wants all His people to be made whole and it starts in the mind!
I am so extremely grateful for the opportunity to take part in this Wellness Weekend. I will take a stand
with you as well as walk down the streets of the mind and witness to all who have suffered in silence
and who suffer from mental illness and spiritual attacks of the mind.
My Motto in life has always been, “I will not let life defeat me, but I will be a defeater over my life
through Jesus Christ”. With Christ, He will be your ultimate deliverer and healer as we forgive those
who despitefully hurt, abuse or misused you! God wants to heal all those who are hurting and who are
mentally struggling in life. We no longer have to just be striving, but he wants us to thrive and be
whole in our mind, body, soul and spirt!
May the strength of God sustain us; may the power of God preserve us; may the hands of God protect
us; may the way of God direct us; may the love of God go with us this day and forever. May the lord
bless and keep each of you! Please share with everyone! Bring your children....believe it or not they too may be experiencing many emotions...we will have a bouncy house and will have things to the children/youth to do on Saturday! Come and be blessed!
Yours Truly,
Pastor Atoniea Sanford-Boykins & First Man Robert Boykins
